The team sits in the heart of this solution set providing critical support for the platform.\nThis position willbea critical contributorwithownershipfordesigning and implementing complex wealth and investment management workflows leveraged by some of the largest participants in the industry.The role requires a strong full-stack engineer who can work across rich web functionality, backend services, automated testing, performance engineering, and system scalability while contributing to sustainable technical design and high-quality delivery in a collaborative environment.\nResponsibilities:\nWork under minimal supervision to analyze, design, develop, test, and debug small to large software enhancements and solutions within Charles River’s business and technical problem domains, with strong ownership of delivery quality and maintainability.\n\nCollaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to turn business requirements of moderate complexity into working and sustainable software.\n\nParticipate in the design of product architecture within the team’s scope of responsibility, contributing to scalable, supportable, and sustainable technical solutions.\n\nDevelop, test, debug, and implement software programs, applications,andservicesusing Java, C#, SQL, React, or other related software engineeringtechnologies.\n\nProvide thoughtful insight and suggestions in code reviews.\n\nWrite unit and automation tests to ensure a high-quality product.\n\nMentor junior developers andhelp establish engineeringbest practicesacross theteam.\n\nConduct manual tests to ensure a high-quality product.\n\nContribute to written design and APIdocumentation andparticipate inthecustomer documentation process.\n\nActively participate in the agile software development process by adhering to the CRD scrum methodology,including attendingdaily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.\n\nParticipate in cross-team group activities to complete assignments.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nB.S. degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, and Physics or other technical course of study required.\n\n4 to 7 years of progressively responsible professional software engineering experience.\n\n2 to 5 years of experience in financial services developing solutions for Portfolio Management, Trading, Compliance, Post-Trade, IBOR,or Wealth Management is strongly desired.\n\nHands-on development experience with relevant technologies from this role, including Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, SQL, and related software engineering technologies, with the ability to deliver sustainable solutions with minimal supervision.\n\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\n\nAble to work well with peers in a collaborative team environment.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with modern web application development using React and related libraries.\n\nDemonstrated experience with object-oriented programming, REST APIs, event-drivensystems, automated testing, scripting, and performance-focused engineering practices.\n\nPrevious experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Postgres, or Oracle.\n\nExperience with cloud and modernization technologies relevant to this role, such as Azure, Kubernetes, Kafka, micro-services, and event-driven architecture.\n\nExperience with engineering and operational tools such as Dynatrace, SolarWinds, and Temporal workflowenginewould be helpful.\n\nPrevious experience in investment management services such as developing solutions for Portfolio Management, Trading, Compliance, Post-Trade, IBOR or Wealth Management is strongly desired\n\nExperience with AI-assisted software development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Agentic AI tools is preferred.\n\nExperience with C# and WinForms is valuable for maintaining legacy software components.\n\nSalary Range:\n$91,000 - $140,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified.
