The role supports both Java-based transaction applications and our transaction data platform. systems.\nThe role is ideal for an engineer with 2+ years of software development or data engineering experience who is eager to deepen their Java and data platform skills, contribute to large-scale transaction processing and analytics solutions, and grow their ownership across the software development and data engineering lifecycle.\nDevelop and enhance reliable Java solutions for transaction processing and reconciliation\nBuild, operate, and improve transaction data pipelines and data solutions on Snowflake and Databricks\nContribute across the lifecycle, from requirements clarification and development through testing, deployment, monitoring, and support\nApply TDD, CI/CD, automation, data quality controls, and engineering best practices with guidance from experienced team members\nWhat You Will Be Responsible For\nSolution & Data Platform Development\nWork with business analysts, product owners, data engineers, and global engineering teams to understand and clarify functional, data, and technical requirements.\nDevelop and enhance Java services and data solutions for new features, platform improvements, analytics use cases, and regulatory changes across Transaction Services Platforms.\nBuild and support data ingestion, transformation, validation, and reconciliation workflows using Snowflake and Databricks.\nWrite high-quality, maintainable, and testable Java, SQL, and data engineering code in line with enterprise standards.\nAnalyze production data, logs, pipeline metrics, and data quality results to support testing, troubleshooting, and solution validation.\nParticipate in technical design discussions, code reviews, data model reviews, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.\nExecution, Quality & Support\nApply TDD, CI/CD, automated testing, and data quality validation throughout the software and data engineering lifecycle.\nSupport system testing, data validation, UAT, production deployment, monitoring, and issue resolution under the guidance of senior engineers.\nContribute to solutions for high-volume, time-sensitive transaction processing, data pipelines, and exception workflows with strong attention to accuracy and quality.\nFollow established controls and engineering practices to protect system stability, data integrity, data lineage, and operational resilience.\nCollaboration & software development, data engineering, or related technology experience.\nHands-on experience with Java/J2EE and Spring or Spring Boot.\nGood understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles.\nStrong working knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and data modelling concepts.\nExperience with or practical exposure to Snowflake, Databricks, or comparable cloud data platforms.\nUnderstanding of data ingestion, transformation, data quality, and reconciliation concepts.\nExperience with unit testing and familiarity with test-driven development or automated testing frameworks.\nExperience working in an Agile/Scrum software development environment.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExposure to messaging and streaming technologies such as MQ or Kafka.\nFamiliarity with Databricks, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, Snowflake, or related data engineering technologies.\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS & Azure, and container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.\nExperience with scripting or data engineering languages such as Python or Scala.\nInterest in or exposure to financial transaction processing, reconciliation, data governance, or analytics platforms.\nExposure to supporting business-critical applications or data platforms in a development or production environment.\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science,
