We work closely with analysts, researchers, and other engineering teams, putting our team right at the intersection of data engineering, software development, and real business use cases.\nYou’ll work on a mix of data engineering, backend services, workflow automation, and AI-powered tooling. This means improving systems that are already used in production while also helping us design the next generation of our platform infrastructure. Your story matters - keep writing it as part of our team.\nAre you ready to join us?\nYour Role\nWork closely with analysts, stakeholders, and engineers to design, build, and improve modeled data workflows.\n\nBuild and maintain backend services, data pipelines, AI agents, and workflow orchestration systems.\n\nStandardize and consolidate fragmented workflows and standalone tools into a centralized platform.\n\nSupport, maintain, and continuously improve production-grade internal tools and workflows.\n\nContribute to platform architecture, operational reliability, and the continuous automation and optimization of analytical workflows.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to translate evolving business and analyst/researcher requirements into practical technical solutions.\n\nYour Profile\nStrong Python skills with experience in backend systems, data pipelines, workflow automation, or internal tooling\n\nHands-on experience developing AI-powered applications using LLMs, AI agents, and modern AI APIs.\n\nSolid understanding of SQL, databases, and data modeling concepts\n\nExperience with Git and writing clean, maintainable, and well-structured code\n\nFamiliarity with workflow orchestration and general data engineering concepts\n\nUnderstanding of containerization and cloud environments, such as Docker or AWS, is a plus\n\nAbility to thrive in a fast-evolving environment and adapt to changing technologies and business requirements.\n\nStructured and thoughtful approach to problem-solving with attention to maintainability and scalability\n\nComfortable collaborating with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders in a cross-functional environment\n\nStrong communication skills and fluent English\n\nWhat we offer\nIn addition to our great team, culture, and our shared goal of empowering people with data, there are many other things that make Statista a great place to work!
