Our responsibilities span daily operations, service reliability, continuous improvement initiatives, and lifecycle management of critical infrastructure and applications.\nWe are seeking a Engineer, Network Operations to join and strengthen our Operations Center team within Global Infrastructure Operations. In this role, you will work in a dynamic, collaborative, and technology-driven environment, helping to ensure the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of Statkraft’s global network infrastructure.\nThis position is ideal for a network professional with a solid technical foundation, a passion for networking technologies, and a strong desire to further develop their expertise in a global enterprise environment. As part of the Operations Center, you will play a key role in monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting business-critical network services while contributing to operational excellence and service reliability across our worldwide operations.\nIn your role you will:\nMonitor, operate, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability. \nTroubleshoot and resolve network incidents, including routing, switching, wireless, WAN, and connectivity-related issues. \nPerform proactive monitoring, analysis, and remediation of network alerts and service degradations. \nCollaborate with internal teams, vendors, and service providers to ensure timely resolution of operational issues. \nEscalate complex incidents and coordinate with subject matter experts when required. \nContribute to network lifecycle activities, including upgrades, maintenance, and infrastructure improvements. \nDevelop and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and technical procedures. \nSupport continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance network stability, security, and operational efficiency. \nParticipate in incident, problem, and change management processes in accordance with ITIL best practices. \nProvide operational support for global network services within a 24/7 operational environment. \nCollaborate with network architects, engineering teams, cloud teams, and service providers to evaluate, implement, and optimize network solutions. \nContribute to the automation of operational network tasks, monitoring, and remediation processes to improve efficiency and service reliability. \n Statkraft manages critical infrastructure and services in several countries. The applicant must have a valid background check conducted by Semac or an equivalent provider. \nPractical experience in configuring, operating, and troubleshooting network infrastructure and connectivity services. \nKnowledge and competence equivalent to Cisco CCNA level or higher. \nUnderstanding of cloud networking concepts and connectivity solutions across platforms such as Microsoft Azure. \nExperience with enterprise firewall technologies, preferably including Cisco, Check Point, and Azure Firewall solutions. \nGood understanding of enterprise IT environments, including infrastructure, networks, systems, and operational processes. \nKnowledge of, or a strong interest in learning, modern infrastructure and automation technologies such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Bicep, Git, and related tooling. \nSolid understanding of network security principles, cybersecurity best practices, and operational resilience. \nKnowledge of ITIL practices and IT Service Management (ITSM) processes. \nSelf-driven, motivated, and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in an environment undergoing continuous transformation and improvement. \nStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. \nAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively across technical teams. \nPassion for continuous learning and staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. \nStructured, proactive, and capable of maintaining focus in a dynamic 24/7 operational environment. \nExcellent communication skills in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken. \nWe know that no candidate ticks every box.
