The next breakthrough in sport could have your name on it.\nThe opportunity:\nThe Assistant Accountant will work closely with the Management Accountant and Financial Controller to ensure accurate, timely and informative monthly reporting for STATSports Group Limited and its subsidiaries. There will also be a key focus on assisting with revenue recognition and supporting the Accounts Receivable team. Study support will be provided towards a professional accountancy qualification.\nWhat you’ll be doing:\nHelp to prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including:\nMonthly balance sheet reconciliations\n\nMonthly P&L reviews and variance analysis\n\nSupport the month-end close process, ensuring financial information is accurate and completed within reporting deadlines\n\nSupport Accounts Receivable activities\n\nAccurate posting and review of revenue contracts\n\nStatutory audit preparation of schedules and supporting documentation required by auditors\n\nSupport ad hoc projects and help to improve finance processes\n\nSupport function for general accounting queries with the finance team\n\nThis job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position. It is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, qualifications, or requirements associated with the job.\nWhat we’re looking for:\nPart-qualified accountant studying towards a professional qualification, e.g. ACA/ACCA/CIMA\n\nProficient in the use of MS Office, especially Excel\n\nDemonstrate experience of applying technical accounting knowledge to transactions (e.g. revenue recognition criteria)\n\nAttention to detail and the ability to work with other team members to meet necessary reporting deadlines\n\nCan explain finance data to non-finance stakeholders\n\nNice to have (but not essential):\nExperience with ERP Accounts Packages, ideally in Microsoft Navision\n\nExperience with cost accounting\n\nExperience with group accounts and consolidations\n\nExperience with Power Query and Power BI\n\nGood problem-solving skills and general accountancy acumen\n\nEqual opportunity employer:\nSTATSports is an equal opportunity employer.
