About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Global Head of Logistics to define and execute our global logistics and distribution strategy, ensuring efficient, resilient, and cost-effective end-to-end logistics operations across all regions. This is a critical leadership role responsible for harmonizing and optimizing logistics processes, partner ecosystems, and systems while supporting business growth, operational excellence, and sustainability objectives.

You will oversee global logistics performance across North America, Europe, and Asia, drive network and process transformation, strengthen resilience and compliance, and build a high-performing international logistics organization in a complex, matrix-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the global logistics and distribution strategy in alignment with business and growth objectives, establishing standards, policies, and governance across transportation, warehousing, customs, and logistics footprint decisions.
  • Oversee end-to-end logistics operations across inbound, intercompany, outbound, and service flows, ensuring high service levels, operational reliability, and continuous improvement in cost, lead time, inventory accuracy, and warehouse performance.
  • Own logistics cost performance and partner strategy by managing the global logistics budget, driving sustainable cost reductions, supporting freight procurement and contract negotiations with logistics providers, and enabling data-driven performance management through reporting and dashboards.
  • Optimize the global network and core logistics processes by redesigning distribution networks, improving transportation lanes and warehouse structures, and leading major transformation initiatives such as automation and system implementations while balancing global consistency with regional needs.
  • Drive logistics digitalization, resilience, and compliance through WMS, TMS, and analytics improvements, strong cross-functional system integration, and proactive mitigation of geopolitical, regulatory, capacity, and disruption risks, including customs compliance.
  • Advance sustainability and organizational capability by reducing the environmental footprint of logistics operations, supporting ESG targets and reporting, and leading an international logistics team while partnering effectively with senior stakeholders across Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, IT, and external logistics providers.
  • Extensive experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations, including significant international leadership responsibility.
  • Proven track record in a global industrial, manufacturing, or distribution-driven environment, ideally within organizations generating CHF/ € 1bn+ in revenue.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-region logistics networks and leading large-scale transformation programs.
  • Deep expertise in transportation, warehousing, international trade, customs, and 3PL/provider management.
  • Strong strategic and operational leadership skills, with a clear record of delivering cost optimization, performance improvements, and ROI-driven initiatives.
  • High level of digital literacy, including experience leading logistics system implementations such as WMS, TMS, and analytics tools.
  • Excellent leadership, change management, and stakeholder influence skills, with the ability to operate effectively in multicultural, matrix-driven environments.
  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced executive education is a plus.
  • Fluent English is required; additional languages such as German, French, or Mandarin are advantageous.

At Stäubli, we value both people and performance. We hire for cultural fit and long-term collaboration, seeking a team member who is committed to being an integral part of our team for the long run.

We start with remote interviews and move to on-site interviews as the process progresses. During the interview process you will have the opportunity to meet with the entire team to ensure a mutual fit.

We look forward to hearing from you!
