You will own the complete release lifecycle which includes being responsible for scheduling, coordinating, planning, and controlling the delivery process in collaboration with your government counterpart. The Release Manager is the major liaison between application development and government production support teams for release management. The Release Manager will manage and optimize the release process in conjunction with the application development teams. The ideal candidate will have strong Project Management skills as well as release management experience with cloud technologies.\nContributions\nNegotiate, plan, and manage all release activities\nTrack risks and issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality\nMeasure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time\nCommunicate release details, expectations, and schedules to the business as required\nConduct release readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and business Go/No-Go reviews\nProvide regular release reporting to stakeholders and project team\nWork closely with development staff to resolve build problems and merge conflicts\nContinually work towards making improvements in the release process by documenting release issues and developing plans to improve process or automation\nMaintain a release repository and manage key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other engineering or technical disciplineand/or equivalent work experience\n5+ years of experience in Release Management performing responsibilities similar to those described for thisrole\n3+ years of experience as an Analyst or Developer on projects utilizing Agile Scrum methodology for systemdevelopment with scale and scope\nPrevious experience in the government or with government clients\nEligible to obtain and maintain and government security clearance\nKnowledge of software development lifecycle\nSolid understanding of project management principles\nExperience using JIRA, Confluence, or other project management software\nDemonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion\nPreferred:\nExperience managing Salesforce integrations along with core development and delivery skills\nExperience with 2GP (2nd generation packaging)\nExperience in the CRM domain; understanding of overall SFDC architecture and working knowledge of SFDCintegration approach, architecture, and release management\nExperience with SAFe Agile development methodologies\nAble and willing to work independently and in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, with minimalsupervision\nAbout steampunk\nSteampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $100,000 to $160,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
