We're a small team that moves fast, and you'll have the opportunity to take ownership, ship production code, and see your work used by developers building some of the most exciting applications in AI.\nSample projects include...\nBuilding and shipping features across Steel's APIs, SDKs, and developer tools\n\nImproving the performance and reliability of our browser infrastructure\n\nBuilding open-source demos that showcase what's possible with AI agents and browsers\n\nExperimenting with AI models, prompts, and agent frameworks to improve browser automation\n\nWorking with containers, VMs, proxies, and distributed systems to scale browser sessions\n\nDebugging tricky engineering problems and shipping fixes that make Steel faster and more reliable\n\nRequirements\nCurrently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or have equivalent hands-on experience\n\nStrong programming fundamentals and experience building software projects\n\nComfortable writing code and learning new languages, frameworks, and tools\n\nAI-native: actively use AI coding tools and agents in your development workflow\n\nCurious about how systems work and excited to solve challenging technical problems\n\nAble to take ownership, move quickly, and learn independently\n\nAble to work in person from our Toronto office\n\nNice-to-haves\nPrevious software engineering internship experience\n\nExperience building full-stack applications, developer tools, or infrastructure projects\n\nContributions to open-source projects or interesting personal projects\n\nExperience with cloud infrastructure, Linux, containers, or distributed systems\n\nExperience building with LLMs or AI agents\n\nApplying\nIf there appears to be a fit, we'll reach out to schedule 2 short technical interviews.
