The Division Controller will manage and mentor the finance team, drive budgeting and forecasting efforts, and serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership. This position reports directly to the Corporate Controller.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nFinancial Leadership & Team Management\nLead, coach, and develop the finance team to ensure high performance and alignment with company objectives.\nOversee daily financial operations, ensuring processes are efficient, accurate, and compliant with internal controls.\nFoster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the finance function.\nFinancial Reporting & Analysis\nDirect the preparation and delivery of accurate and timely financial reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses.\nAnalyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and performance drivers.\nProvide senior leadership with critical insights and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making.\nBudgeting & Forecasting\nLead the company’s annual budgeting process in collaboration with department heads.\nDevelop rolling forecasts and perform variance analysis to ensure fiscal discipline and adaptability.\nMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and suggest corrective actions where necessary.\nStrategic Financial Planning\nServe as a financial thought partner to executive leadership by offering data-driven insights and long-term financial strategies.\nEvaluate potential investments, acquisitions, and cost-saving initiatives for financial viability.\nSupport initiatives to improve business performance, scalability, and operational efficiency.\nCash Flow & Working Capital Management\nManage cash flow planning and ensure the organization maintains adequate liquidity.\nImplement strategies to optimize working capital and maximize return on resources.\nPartner with leadership to oversee capital expenditures, financing decisions, and debt management.\nCompliance & Risk Management\nEnsure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal policies.\nIdentify and mitigate financial risks through proactive analysis and controls.\nAct as the primary liaison during audits, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.\nFinancial Process Improvement\nChampion process optimization and automation initiatives to enhance accuracy and efficiency.\nImplement technology-driven solutions to streamline financial reporting and operations.\nPromote a data-centric, results-driven approach across the finance team.\nOther Duties as Assigned\nThis job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Responsibilities and tasks may be modified, expanded, or adjusted to reflect business needs or management requests.\nCompetencies\nLeadership and Team Management\nStrategic Thinking and Business Acumen\nCommunication\nProblem-Solving and Analytical Thinking\nEthical Judgment and Integrity\nQualifications\nMinimum Qualifications\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.\nExperience and/or Training:\n5+ years of financial leadership experience, ideally in manufacturing.\nExperience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, and forecasting.\nStrong track record in managing financial teams and collaborating across departments.\nKnowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Epicor, or similar).\nUnderstanding of cost accounting and profitability analysis.\nProficiency in financial modeling, Excel (advanced skills), and data analysis.\nExcellent communication and presentation skills to interact with senior leadership and external stakeholders.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities, navigate ambiguity, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.\nPreferred Qualifications\nEducation: Master’s degree (MBA) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation OR CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant).\nExperience and/or Training:\nPhysical and Mental Demands\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls.\nThe employee frequently is required to talk or hear.\nThe employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.\nThe employee must be able to lift and or carry up to 10 lbs occasionally.\nTravel: This position requires an estimated 20% annual travel between local offices.
