Translates blueprints and drawings into dimensions and enters information in the machine for production\nProvides quality welds in accordance to AWS D1.1 weld code\nCompletes any documentation needed associated to the procedure\nPerforms basic preventative maintenance and other repairs on the machine\nKeeps management informed on any open issues to ensure coverage of projects and a seamless shift transition \nImplement best practices related to robot programming and machine operation\nReviews programs and program cycle times\nWorks with engineering to develop new and/or improve processes\nOperates crane to move material\nPerforms grinding as needed to clean parts\nPerforms a visual inspection on welds\nQualifications\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nEducation and/or Experience\nHigh school diploma, GED or equivalent\nQuality and preventative maintenance experience preferred\nPrevious machine operating experience required\nPrevious CNC operator experience highly recommended\nOther skills\nBasic understanding of design techniques, principles, and tools necessary for the precise production of technical plans, drawings, models and blueprints\nAbility to read, understand and interpret manufacturing documents, including blueprint reading and welding symbols\nExperience working with tape measure, calipers, square, protractors, fillet gage etc.\nWorking knowledge of Continuous Improvement practices and procedures (preferably Lean Manufacturing and 6S)\nPrevious OSHA safety training and strong safety aptitude\nAbility to work well with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences \nLanguage Skills\nAbility to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, production schedules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively with other employees of the organization.\nMathematical Skills\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, common fractions and decimals.\nReasoning Ability\nAbility to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instruction provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
