The Quality Control Inspector will coordinate with other departments including assembly, manufacturing and shipping/receiving.\nPosition Details\nStatus:Contract\nShift:Weekday\nLocation:Calgary NE\nDuties and Responsibilities\nProtecting their own and others’ health and safety at or in the vicinity of the work site.\nCooperating with their employer or supervisor by following health and safety rules for the job.\nUsing all hazard controls and wearing personal protection equipment designated or provided by the employer or required by the OHS legislation.\nRefraining from causing or participating in harassment and violence.\nReporting health and safety concerns and conditions to their employer or supervisor.\nParticipating in any training provided by the employer.\nCooperating with any person exercising a duty under the OHS legislation.\nCommunication with their colleagues, supervisors, and managers.\nPrepping equipment prior to inspection.\nVerifying dimensions of parts machined using micrometers, calipers, other precision measuring instruments.\nPerform first article inspections on all product runs.\nInitiate Nonconformance reports (NCRs) for all parts that do not meet requirements.\nIdentify and segregate NCR parts and notify Quality Assurance and Control Coordinator.\nAssist in the maintenance of the NCR Area as required, and ensure parts are identified.\nIdentify tools requiring calibration and perform calibration of measurement tools.\nMaintain emails, perform photocopying and printing.\nResponsible to identify needs for consumables to the Quality Assurance and Control Coordinator.\nRequired Abilities, Knowledge, Experience\nDemonstrate understanding of parts drawings and GD&T.\n2+ Years in a similar role.\nDemonstrate experience using a variety of hand inspection tools.\nExperience with specialized measuring instruments preferred, such as:Surface Finish Gauge,\nWall Thickness Gauge.\n\nAble to demonstrate basic computer skills (MS Office).\nAll applicants are thanked for their interest\nSteelhaus Technologies Inc. is an equal opportunity employer\nSteelhaus Technologies Inc. complies with the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
