The Database Administrator maintains database availability, performance, and security, responds to data ingestion and service issues, and keeps documentation and procedures current. Working closely with application, cloud, and security teams, the Database Administrator helps ensure reliable, compliant data operations in a DoD environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nMonitor and support production Oracle and Sybase ASE databases, AWS data pipelines, and related cloud services to maintain availability and performance.\nPerform routine database administration, including health monitoring, patching, backups, and user and access provisioning.\nTriage and investigate data ingestion issues, restoring service within established response and resolution targets and escalating complex or high-severity incidents as appropriate.\nExecute health checks, troubleshooting, and routine remediation for AWS refresh jobs and workloads running on Amazon ECS and AWS Fargate.\nManage incidents and service requests through the ticketing system, keeping users and stakeholders informed of status and resolution.\nCoordinate with application, cloud, and security teams on escalations, changes, and access requests.\nDocument incidents, findings, and resolution steps, and update runbooks and standard operating procedures based on recurring issues.\nRequired Qualifications\n Eligibility Requirements: U.S. citizenship is required for this position under applicable federal contract requirements.
