If you are passionate about delivering complex construction projects and want to be part of a dynamic and respected construction team, we encourage you to apply.The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the electrical or mechanical scope (as applicable) of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) activities on construction projects. The role focuses on ensuring that MEP systems are properly planned, procured, installed, and commissioned in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements. Projects will initially focus on building projects such as data centres. As Stefanutti Stocks is a multidisciplinary contractor, the successful candidates may also be required to work on other large scale construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and within programme and budget.\nKey Responsibilities\nConstruction & Project Coordination\nManage and coordinate electrical or mechanical (as applicable) construction activities on site, interfacing with the other MEP, building and civil trades.\nImplement company procedures and project objectives for assigned projects.\nDevelop and maintain construction programmes and long-lead procurement schedules.\nMonitor project progress and assist in implementing corrective actions where required.\nEnsure project documentation, reporting, and records are maintained.\nSupport the implementation of project quality plans.\nOversee testing, commissioning and handover of electrical or mechanical systems, including integrated systems testing where required.\nCost & Contract Management\nAssist with managing project costs and contractual requirements related to MEP works.\nEnsure timely procurement of labour, materials, plant, and subcontractors.\nReview and assist with monthly cost reports.\nSupport the Quantity Surveyor with variations, approvals, and new rates.\nEnsure contractual and project documentation requirements are met.\nHealth, Safety, Environment & Quality (SHEQ)\nImplement the project Health & Safety Plan in line with construction regulations and company policies.\nMonitor safety compliance on site and address non-conformances.\nEnsure quality standards and project specifications are met.\nStakeholder Coordination\nLiaise with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.\nAttend design, planning, and progress meetings.\nWork with local authorities to ensure regulatory compliance where required.\nCoordinate communication with subcontractors and construction teams.\nTeam Support & Supervision\nSupport the management of site staff and subcontractors.\nMonitor performance and ensure work aligns with project objectives.\nAssist with maintaining effective labour relations on site.\n-Minimum Requirements\nEducation\nBSc, BEng or BTech Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Building Services Engineering\nRegistration with a professional body such as ECSA and/or SACPCMP (or willingness to register)\nExperience\n8-10 years’ experience in constructionprojects with MEP exposure, preferably on data centres or other mission-critical building projects.\nExposure to civil engineering projects will be advantageous.\nExperience in:Construction and contract management\nProject planning and implementation\nCost and commercial management\nTeam supervision\n\nTechnical Knowledge\nElectrical and/or mechanical systems, particularly as applied to data centres and critical facilities\nConstruction planning and programming\nContract administration\nCost and budget control\nTesting and commissioning of building services systems\nApplicable SANS standards and statutory requirements for building services installations\nKey Skills\nTechnical and project coordination skills\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills\nGood organisational and planning
