In this multi-faceted position, you will provide operational support to our Traveling Wave Tube (TWT) manufacturing areas and help maintain flow on the production floor. You’ll work with area management to drive continuous improvement projects for manufacturing by developing new assembly processes and systems to eliminate waste, streamline processes, and reduce cost.\nResponsibilities\nResponsible for creating and maintaining manufacturing documents: work instructions, routers, in-process data capture documents, bill of materials, etc.\nSupport the design and implementation of tooling and fixtures used in production and internal development.\nSupport production line technical issues.\nProvide training to production personnel.\nImplement and analyze manufacturing plans and projects.\nDesign, develop and transfer manufacturing and engineering tools, strategies and systems.\nDevelop manufacturing strategies for specific products and processes.\nInterface with engineering in coordinating the release of new products \nEstimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards, and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines.\nMaintain records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.\nDemonstrated ability to analyze design issues and develop tooling concepts in real time is preferred.\nDemonstrated ability to capture and analyze data related to yield and cycle time is required. \nDemonstrated computer proficiency using Microsoft Office applications.\nRequires the ability to work in a fast-moving environment under tight schedules and coordinate multiple tasks effectively.\nMust be able to perform technical problem-solving and work closely with production personnel.\nEffective verbal and written communication skills are necessary.\nAbility to create and update assembly instructions and in-process record forms is required.\nQualifications\nThis role requires relevant engineering experience that includes a combination of or equivalent experience in manufacturing engineering of PCBAs or similar manufacturing processes.\nLevel I: requires a minimum of 0-2 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or electrical engineering discipline.\nLevel II: requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or electrical engineering discipline.\nLevel III: requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or electrical engineering discipline.\n Level IV: requires a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or electrical engineering discipline.Knowledge of joining processes, such as brazing and/or welding, is required.\nKnowledge of assembly processes, tooling, and print reading (GD&T) are required.\nKnowledge of bills of material, routings and assembly instruction development are required.\nKnowledge of computer programming languages (example: MATLAB, Visual Basic, CREO Parametric, Solidworks, or PHP) is desirable.\n\nStellant Systems is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
