We are an industry leader in high-performance RF technology, supporting terrestrial and spaceborne communications, electronic warfare, and radar missions.\nResponsibilities\nThis role will be primarily tasked with providing engineering support for materials and processes, including welding (Laser, TIG, and Resistance), soldering, brazing, precision chemical cleaning, plating, and laboratory testing. You will serve as a liaison with groups such as Engineering, Quality, Program Management, Operations, Suppliers, and Supply Chain.\nIn this multi-faceted position, the focus will be on improving and developing welding processes to meet functional requirements with the highest quality and consistency. The successful candidate will troubleshoot process problems, interface with internal and external customers, write specifications and procedures, develop and revise weld schedules, and train operators on processing techniques. Additional support may be provided with cleaning, plating, brazing, soldering, adhesives, paints, machining, and metallizing. Extensive laboratory activities will consist of SEM, XPS, microscopy, DSC, XRF, and X-Rays, as well as small-scale laboratory tests.\nQualifications\nLevel III: requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience\nLevel IV: requires a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience\nLevel V: requires a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience\nBachelor’s or Postgraduate degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.\nStrong knowledge of metals, joining methods, and metallurgical concepts, with hands-on experience in Brazing, Soldering, Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), and Laser Welding.\nProven experience in precision chemical cleaning and plating processes.\nDemonstrated ability to develop welding schedules and specifications.\nDeep understanding of engineering materials specific to a manufacturing environment.\nProficiency with materials, laboratory equipment, and test plan execution.\nCapability to draft Materials and Processes (M&P) engineering documents, including procurement specifications and assembly instructions.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications.\nAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines, and coordinate multiple tasks effectively.\nStrong technical problem-solving skills with a proven track record of working closely with production personnel.\nEffective verbal and written communication skills.\nStellant Systems is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
