Pay is based upon candidate experience, qualifications, skills, date of hire, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements. \nPerforms standard assembly, die bonding, wire bonding, and installation steps for the components for microwave assemblies. The Sr Micro-Electronics assembler must be able to troubleshoot assemblies and work with Engineering to provide updates to assembly documentation and routers as required.\nResponsibilities\nTypical duties and requirements are not meant to be all encompassing but a general framework of requirements/responsibilities for:\nResponsible for performing works from specifications, drawings, blueprints, test procedures, data sheets, oral and written instructions independently.\nMechanical assembly consisting of housing fabrication for HI-REL channel amplifiers.\nMIC assembly consisting of brazing, die attach, wedge-wedge bonding and gap welding.\nSupport test for electrical changes being performed for tuning purposes.\nExceptionally skilled at brazing, die attach, wedge-wedge bonding and gap welding processes.\nAbility to work under a microscope for extended periods of time\nInterpret job routers, written instructions, wiring diagrams and schematic drawings for assembly of electronics.\nPerform a variety of inspections to ensure assemblies meet or exceed standards\nDisassembling, modifying, reworking, re-assembling assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.\nPerform basic troubleshooting with or without guidance from Engineering team.\nServe as primary trainer for defined area. Ability to assist in other trainings as required.\nMust be proficient in building (meet or exceed the standard HPU or better) the majority of high complexity part numbers/processes as determined by the department’s leadership team.\nMust continuously meet/exceed production schedules and deadlines according to quality standards.\nMaintain logs, paperwork, and forms accurately consistent with company policy and practices.\nAdditional Duties as assigned by supervisor or manager\nQualifications\nEducation/Experience:\n10+ years in a high-volume, microwave or other high technology experience.\nAt least 7 years of brazing, die attach, wedge-wedge bonding and gap welding processes.\nIPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, MIL-STD-2000, NASA-STD-8739.3, or equivalent\nMust be able to read and understand mechanical drawings and detailed work instructions\nHigh School Diploma or GED Required\nCertification/Licenses:\nIPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, MIL-STD-2000, NASA-STD-8739.3, or equivalent\nKnowledge, Skills, and Ability:\nAbility to work under a 60x microscope for extended periods of time\nSpecific abilities for manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nStrong communication skills: interpersonal, oral, and written\nAbility to effectively manage multiple tasks/projects\nAbility to work on a team as well as independently\nBasic Computer data input skills\nGeneral knowledge of mechanical assembly processes and procedures, with previous precision mechanical assembly experience preferred.\nAbility to maintain productivity and to proactively move between job assignments without specific direction\nStellant Systems is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
