We’ve shown that we make a real difference for physician practices and their patients.\nAbout the position:\nWe are looking for a Staff Engineer with both technical and leadership experience. In this role, you will be responsible for leading technical efforts that affect multiple squads to address the most pressing technical needs that impact the organization. These efforts could range from driving architectural choices, to deep dives into cross-team performance issues, to driving alignment on specific technology choices. You will partner closely with engineering leadership to drive the overall technical direction of your team over our next phase of growth.\nThe team you will join is the AutoProgression Team (or the A-Team for short). The team is tight-knit with high ownership, so your work will have a meaningful impact on our ability to directly improve patient access to health care.\nHow you'll make an impact:\nBuild best-in-class applications and services\n\nShare in the ownership of the technical direction and impact of the platform\n\nWork with the team to align on product roadmaps, specifications, and priorities.\n\nEnsure our users are presented with timely and accurate information that helps them do their job.\n\nEvolve the architecture to improve operational efficiency and support business growth\n\nActively contribute to Stellar’s Engineering Culture and ensure engineers are writing clear and concise production code for the Stellar Health Platform\n\nProvide effective and constructive feedback by reviewing others’ work\n\nSet consistent standards via code and design reviews, as well as your own technical contributions\n\nExpand and improve our EHR (Electronic Health Record) Data Pipeline, which ingests and transforms clinical data from diverse sources every day for over 200K patients (and counting!)\n\nCreate and expand features in the Stellar Health application powered by EHR Data\n\nWhat you'll bring:\nAt least ten years of total experience, with recent hands-on experience writing production-level code (Python is preferred / Java / C++ / Go)\n\nExpertise in a cloud platform such as AWS (preferred), GCP, Azure\n\nExpertise in relational databases, such as PostgreSQL\n\nExperience with Django or with a similar web framework\n\nAt least two years of experience building data processing pipelines\n\nExperience leading and coordinating cross-functional architectural projects and rollouts\n\nExperience writing highly available and low latency services, and know how to deploy and keep them running in production\n\nA strong focus on clean code and architecture.
