This role supports the development and delivery of critical capabilities for Space Force operators through rapid research, development, and acquisition activities. The position operates in a fast-paced environment focused on advising and assisting the Government across the full lifecycle of systems acquisition to enable timely fielding of mission-relevant capability.\nRole/Responsibilities/Qualifications\nThis role supports acquisition and program management activities for advanced capability development efforts within a complex Government mission environment. The position interfaces with program leadership, contracting teams, developers, and other stakeholders to help plan, execute, and monitor acquisition efforts, contracts, funding actions, and program reviews. Success in this role requires strong familiarity with Department of War acquisition processes, clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to deliver high-quality support across multiple concurrent efforts.\nKey responsibilities include:\nAdvise senior program leadership, program managers, and support staff on acquisition strategies, contracting, budgeting, and execution\n\nProvide program element coordination, staffing, and monitoring support for funding commitments, obligations, expenditures, and related documentation\n\nDraft and support delivery of program funding documentation and monthly financial reports\n\nSupport development of acquisition plans for electromagnetic and advanced technology programs\n\nProvide contracting support to technical personnel developing performance work statements, statements of work, data deliverable requirements, and other pre-award or post-award procurement documentation\n\nDevelop, draft, and coordinate program planning and execution documents tailored from applicable acquisition frameworks, policies, and rapid prototyping guidance\n\nDevelop documents and briefings to communicate program status, recommendations, and approach\n\nSupport Contracting Officer’s Representatives and developers by coordinating with acquisition subject matter experts and stakeholders to develop, modify, and maintain contract documentation\n\nAssist with contract negotiation, price reasonableness determinations, contract administration, and termination procedures\n\nDraft technical evaluations and function as an advisor in source selections\n\nProvide technical and programmatic assessments of contractor designs and milestone reviews to evaluate progress, risks, issues, and mission alignment\n\nMonitor and evaluate contractor performance for compliance with contract terms and conditions and ensure timely submission of contract deliverables\n\nReview Contract Data Requirements List deliverables for content, accuracy, and sufficiency against program requirements and objectives\n\nParticipate in program management reviews, technical interchange meetings, and technical evaluations while preparing status reports, acquisition schedules, and executive briefings\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in business management or STEM related discipline\n\n10+ years of experience in Government weapon systems acquisition, program management, and/or contracts management within the Department of War\n\nExperience with Department of War Major Capability Acquisition Systems\n\nExperience with Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution processes\n\nExperience developing acquisition strategies and plans for major programs\n\nStrong interpersonal, leadership, programmatic, and problem-solving skills\n\nStrong briefing and writing skills\n\nDemonstrated ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and energetic environment\n\nDesired Qualifications\nMaster’s degree in business management, technical management, and/or engineering\n\nProfessional certifications such as PMI PMP\n\nExperience in National Security Space and/or the Space Control mission area\n\nClearance & Additional Requirements\nU.S. citizenship is required.\nActive TS clearance is required with SCI eligibility.\nAbility to access U.S.-only data systems and support classified government mission environments is required.\nLocation\nThis position is full-time, on site in CO Springs, CO; 10% - 20% travel to Los Angeles, CA may be required.\nCompensation\nThe typical salary range for this position is USD $160,000 - $185,000 per year. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.\nIn addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a comprehensive total rewards package that includes an annual performance bonus, an employer-funded Profit-Sharing Plan (PSP) contribution based on base compensation, and comprehensive employer-paid medical benefits, PTO pay-out options, along with additional company-sponsored benefits. All of these benefits represent an additional 30-40% to your base compensation for a total compensation package.\nDeliverable(s)\nDeliverables will be in the format of reports, briefings, spreadsheets, or other documents as directed by the Government, using government approved and/or mandated systems/software and processes governed by guidance, instructions, policy, or direction.
