This role contributes to mission-focused systems engineering and integration efforts by enabling stronger technical baselines, model-informed decision-making, and disciplined engineering execution. The position is suited for an engineer who can work across digital engineering tools, requirements, and technical collaboration in support of complex government systems.\nRole/Responsibilities/Qualifications\nThis role supports digital engineering implementation across systems engineering products, model-based development, and technical reviews. The Digital Engineer will help translate requirements into coherent engineering artifacts and support collaborative execution across government and partner teams.\nKey responsibilities include:\nCreate, integrate, and apply interdisciplinary digital models from concept through the product lifecycle\nDevelop systems engineering products in support of DoD or government systems\nProduce technical specifications, interface control documents, and system architecture artifacts using MBSE practices\nUse digital engineering tools such as Cameo or MagicDraw, SparxEA, DOORS, or IBM Rhapsody to support program needs\nPerform systems engineering analysis to inform technical planning, design, and integration\nSupport design reviews and requirements verification activities\nCollaborate with government clients, FFRDCs, and partner teams to achieve program goals\nDevelop innovative solutions to complex technical problems with limited direction\nContribute to engineering rigor across model development, technical baselines, and lifecycle execution\nMentor team members and support strong multidisciplinary coordination where needed\nRequired Qualifications\n5+ years of experience with large-scale missions and systems engineering and integration\n3+ years of experience performing systems engineering analysis and developing systems engineering products for DoD or government systems\n3+ years of experience with practical MBSE for development of technical specifications, interface control documents, and system architecture\nExperience using digital engineering tools such as Cameo or MagicDraw, SparxEA, DOORS, or IBM Rhapsody\nAbility to perform multiple systems engineering and program management functions in support of design reviews and requirements verification\nAbility to communicate and establish collaborative relationships with government clients, FFRDCs, and partner teammates to achieve program goals\nBachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics field\nDesired Qualifications\nExperience with model-based verification and validation\nExperience with MATLAB, STK, ModelCenter, or TeamCenter\nExperience analyzing and translating system requirements into design\nKnowledge of Systems Modeling Language and DoD Architecture Framework\nAbility to identify, analyze, and resolve technical risks and issues, develop technical reports, and collaborate with stakeholders to implement recommended solutions\nMaster’s degree in Engineering\nOMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional Certification\nINCOSE Systems Engineering certification\nClearance & Additional Requirements\nActive Secret clearance\nActive TS/SCI clearance is desired\nAll positions require at least 2-3 days per week on site; meetings and schedules may require additional on-site support\nLocation El Segundo, California and optionally Aurora, CO\nCompensation:\nThe typical annual salary range for this position is approximately, USD $115,000 - $143,000. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to salary, this position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, profit sharing / retirement plan and other benefits (all in addition to annual base salary).\nDeliverable(s)\nDeliverables could be in the format of a report, software file, briefing, spreadsheet, or other document as directed by the Government, using government approved and/or mandated systems/software and processes governed by guidance/instructions/policy or direction.
