You’ll Do:\nDevelop backend services for the StellarTech Platform from scratch using Python.\nDesign and implement scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend solutions.\nCollaborate with the Tech Lead, Product Manager, engineers, and internal stakeholders to clarify requirements and assess technical feasibility.\nParticipate in architecture and technical discussions, especially around service design, data flows, integrations, and system reliability.\nBuild integrations with external platforms, APIs, and third-party services.\nWork with microservice and event-driven architecture, including message queues, asynchronous processing, and distributed systems.\nEnsure platform performance, quality, stability, and reliability.\nTroubleshoot, investigate, and resolve production issues using logs, monitoring, alerts, metrics, and root-cause analysis.\nContribute to CI/CD pipelines and engineering practices.\nUse AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and delivery speed.\nWhat We’re Looking For:\n7+ years of backend development experience.\nDeep knowledge of the Python ecosystem and modern backend development practices.\nExperience building scalable, high-load, or data-intensive applications.\nStrong understanding of relational databases, including schema design, transactions, indexing, and query performance.\nExperience with NoSQL databases and understanding of when to use them.\nGood understanding of message queues, event-driven systems, and microservice architecture.\nExperience integrating external platforms, APIs, or third-party services.\nStrong production ownership mindset: monitoring, logging, alerting, debugging, incident investigation, and reliability improvements.\nExperience with CI/CD tools, preferably GitHub Actions.\nAbility to work independently, make pragmatic technical decisions, and take ownership of backend services end to end.\nExperience using AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar.\nNice To Have:\nExperience with AWS and cloud-native technologies.\nKubernetes experience.\nExperience with DDD, CQRS, event sourcing, or similar architectural patterns.\nExperience with Temporal or other workflow orchestration tools.\nExperience in MarTech, FinTech, payments, or analytics-heavy products.\nExperience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, or owning complex backend areas.\nAnalytical mindset with a long-term approach to service design.\nGood Fit For This Role:\nThis role is a good fit for someone who is\nStrongly hands-on and enjoys writing backend code.\nComfortable owning services in production.\nAble to reason about architecture without over-engineering.\nStrong enough to lead a backend stream or technical initiative
