Theideal candidate is an experienced engineer with exposure to project management and operations.\nWhat you’ll do\nCollaborate with the Product Design and Operations teams to scope and source equipment that meets product and volume requirements while ensuring safety, quality, and compliance.\nWrite Request for Quote and Request for Proposal documents that specify the requirements for equipment designs.\nConduct equipment risk assessments and implement appropriate safeguards.\nEnsure all equipment meets relevant safety standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.\nCollaborate with the Procurement Team to identify equipment suppliers, lead bid meetings, evaluate quotes and proposals, and negotiate purchase order terms.\nManage contractors through the detailed design, fabrication, factory acceptance testing, installation, and site acceptance testing of new manufacturing equipment.\nProvide technical training and support tomaintenance technicians and operators.\nCollaborate with the Finance and Accounting Team to manage project budgets and payments.\nDevelop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs and spare parts plans to maximize equipment uptime.\nDiagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment failures.\nAnalyze equipment performance data to drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost.\nOther duties as required.\nWhat you bring\nDegree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.\n5+ years of experience in a high-volume,highly automated manufacturing environment.\nExperience with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent).\nProficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic drawings.\nHands-on experience with PLCs, automation systems, and industrial controls.\nFamiliarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.\nProven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with accountability and attention to detail.\nBonus Points\nProfessional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation.\nProject Management Professional certification.\nSix Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.\nKnowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).\nExperience in the pre-fabricatedhousing industry.\nCompensation\nThe expected base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000. Actual pay may vary depending on your job-related knowledge, competencies, and skills.
