You’ll-have the opportunity toshape processes, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and play an important part in delivering high--qualityproducts.\nWhat you’ll do\nLead daily operations of the shipping and receiving department, ensuring production targets, quality, and safety standards are met. \nDirect and support a team of material handlers;oversee task allocation, performance, and attendance, fostering accountability.\nSupervise receiving and shipping activities, including employee performance and attendance, to maintain operational efficiency.\nEnsure adherence to inventory storage and retrieval processes, including proper sequencing, safe transportation, and labeling, in line with established work instructions.\nMaintain quality standards throughout the designated department, promptly addressing defects or inconsistencies to uphold product standards.\nCollaborate cross-functionally with production planning, inventory, and engineering teams to align material availability and workflow.\nSignoff on incoming material slips based on established quality and quantity SOPs.\nManage printing and handling ofshipping documentation and paperwork requirements for all outgoing finished goods.\nDevelop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for shipping, receiving, safety guidelines, and equipment usage.\nTrack and report key production metrics, such as turnaround time, efficiency, downtime, and labour utilization, to drive performance improvements.\nChampion continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.\nTrain and onboard new team members, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork.\nImplement, participate inand ensure a high-level ofcross-training programsacross departmentsto build flexibility, seamless coverageanda holistic understanding of the manufacturing production operations.\nOther duties as assigned.\nWhat you bring\nProven leadership experience in woodworking, cabinetry or a related manufacturing environment, ideally in a supervisory or lead role.\nStrongknowledge of material handling requirements.\nLicensed forklift driver.\nAbility to interpret and follow work instructions and shipping/receiving documentation and paperwork. \nFamiliarity with MES/ERP systems for job tracking and reporting.\nExperience in developing SOPs and training materials to standardize processes and ensure compliance.\nStrong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams and collaborate effectively across departments.\nDetail-oriented mindset, committed to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.\nProblem-solving and continuous improvement focus, with a proactive approach to operational challenges.\nBonus Points\nEducational background: Diploma or certificate in Woodworking Technology, Manufacturing,Supply Chainor relatedfield preferred.\nPrevious experience with Forklifts and material handling within inanadvanced woodworking manufacturing facility ispreferred.\nCompensation\nThe expected base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $110,000. Actual pay may vary depending on your job-related knowledge, competencies, and skills.
