# Accounting Training Specialist

Introduction STEM is a Software company seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join its team. Duties & Responsibilities Take ownership of STEM’s accounting training and help clients understand their accounting results. Strong practical understanding of retail and QSR environments, including cash-ups, tenders, banking, and tender controls. Good understanding of journal entries, VAT, reconciliations, and accounting workflows. Experience with accounting software packages such as Xero, Sage, Pastel, etc. Able to trace and troubleshoot transactions from STEM through to the final accounting result. Comfortable working with software, learning new systems, and evaluating solutions when clients have requirements involving other accounting packages. Provide the development team with practical accounting insight to improve STEM’s functionality and accounting logic. Strong communicator who can explain accounting results and issues clearly to clients. Willing to travel from time to time to provide in-store training as well as remote training to clients.
