Leveraging the power of our platform and our peerless intelligence across sectors, strategies, and geographies, we help identify the advantages and the answers our clients need to succeed.\nPosition Overview\nThe Associate of StepStone Private Debt - Fund Accounting in Dublin will be responsible for performing shadow accounting of StepStone funds, will oversee all activities related to a fund on a daily basis and will coordinate and reconcile with the fund administrators. The Associate will be in contact with professionals across the company and will work closely with team members in other StepStone offices and Departments on a regular basis.\n\nEssential Job Functions:\nPerform a Final Review before release of NAV valuations of private debt funds and fund of funds (Shadow accounting)\nIn-dept review of complex management and performance fees calculation\nReview and maintain all fund holdings for inclusion in both NAVs and periodic Investor reporting\nContinuous review of controls in place with the objective of mitigating risk both internally and externally\nMonitor and review foreign currency hedging activities within the portfolio and the effects of FX Neutralisation within the NAV\nBudget and track fund’s fees and expenses periodically\nTrack and monitor subscriptions / redemptions, capital calls, withdrawals, dividends, etc. are applied at the appropriate period.\nCollect and reconcile data from and between Investment Advisor, Investment Manager and Fund Administrator; filing and input into the proprietary database\nEnsure quality and integrity of the data inputs through reasonability checks\nAssist with development of junior staff\nAssist in client reports production for a variety of our portfolios and ensuring quality and timliness thereof; internal as well as external coordination regarding the content of the individual reports\nPerform other duties as requested or as responsibilities dictate\nContinuously work towards improving the overall process through efficiencies and collaboration\nReview and perform monthly IRR checks to ensure these are within expectation and highlight areas where this is not achieved with the relevant internal teams\nActively be involved in the Onboarding and Offboarding of Funds from inception to liquidation\n Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:\n4-6 years in a comparable role\nBachelor degree in finance, Accounting or mathematical-related subject\n Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nDemonstrates commitment, accuracy and attention to detail, even in a high-volume, fast-paced environment\nHighly motivated with a passion for the industry\nKnowledge of the private debt- / private equity- or hedge-fund sectors\nExperience in audit, fund accounting and/or custody in one of the above sectors\nPassion for fast-paced learning, especially in a technology-enabled environment\nGood analytical skills with a flair for processes as well as good IT skills\nTakes initiative and ownership of responsibilities assigned\nAbility to prioritize activities while working on multiple projects and achieve target deadlines\nStrong interpersonal, collaborative and Investor servicing skills\nPromote and demonstrate a positive, team-oriented attitude\nEffective communication skills and strong problem solving skills\nHighly proficient in using Excel, Word, and other Microsoft office programs\nExperience with FX hedging and complex fee calculation models\n Other Attributes:\nExperience with Investran a plus\nPossess an accreditation like an ACCA, ACA, CFA, CPA, CIA, or CAIA\nPassion for fast-paced learning, especially in a technology-enabled environment\nStrong analytical skills with a flair for processes as well as good IT skills\nAt StepStone, we believe that our people are our most important asset and crucial to our success.
