Your efforts will help ensure the company's success and growth by consistently sourcing and hiring qualified drivers who adhere to safety and compliance standards.\n*Hourly pay + Bonus structure*\nJOB DESCRIPTION:\nKey Responsibilities \nCandidate Sourcing and Outreach:\nUtilize 10thStreet ATS online database, and referrals, to review sourced potential CDL drivers\nInitiate contact with candidates through phone calls, emails, and other communication methods to assess their interest and qualifications\nProvide information, build rapport and influence potential drivers to drive for Stevens Transport Inc\nCandidate Screening and Evaluation:\nReview DOT, State, Local and Company requirements to assess candidates' qualifications, experience, and compliance with CDL requirements.\nInterview pre-qualified candidates according to minimum hiring requirements of Stevens Transport and DOT\nConduct in depth phone interviews to evaluate candidates' driving skills, work history, and alignment with company standards\nCompliance and Documentation:\nEnsure candidates meet the company's hiring criteria and regulatory requirements by verifying driving records, criminal records and employment history\nMaintain accurate records of candidate documentation and information.\nInterviewing and Assessment:\nCoordinate and conduct in-depth interviews with candidates to assess their practical decision making skills, professionalism, and commitment to safety.\nAdminister relevant tests or assessments to evaluate candidates' abilities.\nCandidate Selection and Offer:\nCollaborate with hiring managers to identify the most suitable candidates for available CDL driver positions.\nExtend job offers to selected candidates and negotiate compensation packages as needed\nOnboarding and Training Support:\nAssist in coordinating the onboarding process for new CDL drivers, including orientation, training, and compliance with company policies and safety regulations.\nScheduling and confirming new hires for orientation and training\nReporting and Data Management:\nGenerate and maintain accurate recruitment-related reports, including metrics on candidate sourcing, interviews, and hiring outcomes.\nUtilize recruitment software and databases to manage candidate data efficiently\nGenerating regular and ad-hoc reports as needed by management\nRelationship Building:\nDevelop and maintain positive relationships with current and potential CDL drivers to build a strong talent network.\nAttend industry events, job fairs, and networking opportunities to promote the company and attract talent.\nBuilding and maintaining relationships with potential candidates and confirming level of interest throughout the hiring process\nEnsuring constant communication with applicants throughout the recruiting life cycle, including informing them of application status, requesting additional information, verifying questionable results, advising them of approval or denial, etc.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nMinimum Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nProficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruitment software, and related tools.\nStrong computer and typing skills in a Windows environment, including Outlook, Excel, and Word\nAbility to handle high volumes of inbound and outbound calls and email\nAbility to perform in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities and competing deadlines\nAbility to provide valuable and timely customer service to candidates, hiring managers and senior level management\nAbility to take initiative\nCapable of thriving as a team player but also driven by autonomy\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field preferred\nStrong knowledge of CDL requirements, FMCSA regulations, and industry standards\nPrevious experience in recruitment, particularly in CDL driver recruitment or a related role within the transportation or logistics industry\nExceptional organizational and time-management abilities.\nA commitment to safety and compliance.\nAttention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate candidate documentation\nExceptional communication -
