As one of the largest title insurers in the world, Stewart Title specializes in providing our clients with exceptional service, deep expertise and innovative solutions to help close their real estate transactions with peace of mind.\nJob Description\nJob Summary\nThe System Analyst within our Product Development team in Toronto analyzes business needs, evaluates current processes, recommends improvements, and supports the delivery of technology changes. Acting as the link between business stakeholders and technical teams, the System Analyst independently leads discovery and requirements discussions, documents process and system needs, supports solution decisions, and validates completed work through hands-on testing. This is a hybrid BA/QA role, with business analysis as the primary emphasis and testing as a required responsibility. The role follows the current hybrid work arrangement, with 1-2 days per week expected in person in the Toronto Office.Job Responsibilities\nUnderstand business processes, operational challenges, and desired outcomes.\nAnalyze change requests and recommend practical process or system solutions.\nCreate and maintain process flows, user stories, mockups, and other supporting documentation.\nProbe, identify gaps, challenge assumptions, and clarify business needs.\nDevelop and maintain test plans, cases, and scripts aligned with requirements and acceptance criteria.\nPerform functional, regression, integration, and other phase-appropriate testing.\nValidate that solutions meet business needs and work effectively end to end.\nTrack defects through resolution and retesting, coordinate SME feedback, and maintain test evidence.\nImprove quality practices, documentation, and suggest suitable automation.\nQualifications\n3-5 years’ experience as a System/Business Analyst, or in a hybrid BA/QA role.\nExperience translating business processes and needs into clear requirements and solutions.\nProven ability to independently lead stakeholders, discovery, and requirements sessions.\nExcellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.\nStrong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills, with confidence to challenge assumptions.\nHands-on experience testing system solutions against business requirements.\nStrong knowledge of software development, lifecycle and Agile practices.\nAbility to work independently, balance priorities, and support multiple initiatives.\nAzure DevOps or TFS, insurance or financial-services, and AI productivity tool experience are assets.\nCandidate Expectation:\nThis is not a BA-only or QA-only position. The successful candidate will own work from discovery and requirements definition through testing and validation.
