In this position, the Associate will gain hands-on experience with the trade settlement lifecycle while monitoring transactions, researching and resolving settlement issues, and coordinating with internal business partners and external financial institutions.\nThis role offers an opportunity to build a strong foundation in brokerage operations, develop problem-solving and analytical skills, and gain exposure to the processes and controls that support the firm’s equity business. Success in the position requires attention to detail, effective communication, sound judgment, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service while adhering to established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.\nWhat We're Looking For\nAccurately perform job duties as provided by leadership while adhering to departmental procedures and guidelines\nProficiently process, create, and enter data into systems to be utilized by our Financial Advisors and branch staff\nIdentify potential problems or issues and escalate to department leadership if necessary\nDevelop effective communication skills within the department\nProvide timely updates on progression of job responsibilities to leadership\nDemonstrate the ability to work collaboratively within a team\nBuild foundational knowledge of equity settlement workflows, systems (e.g., settlement platforms), and related regulations; ensure completion of all required trade documentation in accordance with regulatory and firm standards\nWhat You'll Bring\nAbility to attain a general understanding of industry rules/regulations and Stifel policies that pertain to the department\nStrong attention to detail skills to minimize risk to the firm\nInitiative and self-direction when performing tasks with the ability to organize and prioritize effectively in order to meet deadlines\nAble to handle large workloads that vary based on heavy volume periods\nAbility to work autonomously throughout the day based on performance criteria provided by leadership\nEducation & Experience\nMinimum Required: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nMinimum Required: 1+ years of professional business-related experience preferred.\nSystems & Technology\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. #LI-As1AS1\nAbout Stifel\nStifel is more than 130 years old and still thinking like a start-up.
