This position requires a sound understanding of the corporate action lifecycle, including interpreting prospectus language and legal circulars to determine event entitlements and calculating pro-rata distributions, exchange ratios, and fractional share entitlements, while serving as a liaison to internal and external stakeholders. This position will require strong collaboration among team members and the ability to identify issues outside standard procedures, enhance operational workflows, and assist in training associates under direct supervision.\nWhat We're Looking For\nAccurately process complex income payments such as interest, dividend, stock dividend, and spinoff components while adhering to departmental procedures and guidelines provided byleadership.\nProficient processing of advanced reconciliation activity to resolve “breaks” between firm records and third-party custodians as well as additional higher-level tasks for the department.\nIdentify potential problems or issues that fall outside of standard procedures and provide leadership with ways to improve operational efficiency.\nDemonstrate effective communication skills within the department and to key stakeholders.\nProvide timely updates on progression of job responsibilities to leadership.\nDemonstrate the ability to work collaboratively both within a team and outside of the department.\nAssist in the advancement of both departmental and firm-wide initiatives when needed.\nInterpret complex prospectus language and legal circulars to determine event entitlements.\nCalculate pro-rata distributions, exchange rations, and fractional share entitlements.\nInvestigate and resolve entitlement discrepancies and missed payments.\nAssist in the maintenance, updating, and enhancement of operational workflows and procedures.\nWhat You'll Bring\nDemonstrate strong attention to detail to minimize risk to the firm.\nAbility to take initiative and be self directed to accomplish tasks.\nAbility to utilize sound judgment to assist with more complex issues with the ability to disseminate relevant information to leadership.\nAble to handle large workloads that vary based on heavy volume periods.\nAbility to work autonomously throughout the day based on performance criteria provided by leadership.\nAbility to assist in training both new and existing associates on departmental processes regarding the advisory account services processes.\nEducation & Experience\nMinimum Required: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.\nMinimum Required: 3+ years corporate action experience, including awareness of operational risk, and the corporate action lifecycle.\nSystems & Technology\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. #LI-AS1\nAbout Stifel\nStifel is more than 130 years old and still thinking like a start-up.
