As a Margin Operations Associate, you’ll learn to review accounts, research margin requirements, resolve account issues, and provide accurate and timely support.\nYou’ll gain hands-on experience with both margin and cash accounts, buying power, trading activity, and account requirements while working alongside experienced team members. Success in this role comes from attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, teamwork, and a willingness to learn.\nThis is a great opportunity to build a strong foundation in financial services while developing specialized knowledge in brokerage operations, trading, and margin.\nWhat We're Looking For\nNotify branch offices of action items and regulatory deadlines.\nAssist in enforcing firm policies and industry regulations.\nResearch and review outstanding debit balances and assist in resolving trade exceptions.\nDocument trading violations and apply account restrictions as appropriate.\nDevelop effective communication skills within the department.\nProvide timely updates on progression of job responsibilities to leadership.\nDemonstrate the ability to work collaboratively within a team.\nWhat You'll Bring\nDemonstrate the ability to attain a general understanding of industry rules/regulations and Stifel policies that pertain to the department.\nStrong attention to detail skills to minimize risk to the firm.\nInitiative and self-direction when performing tasks with the ability to organize and prioritize effectively in order to meet deadlines.\nAble to handle large workloads that vary based on heavy volume periods.\nAbility to work autonomously throughout the day based on performance criteria provided by leadership.\nEducation & Experience\nMinimum Required: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.\nMinimum Required: 1+ years professional business related experience.\nSystems & Technology\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. #LI-AS1\nAbout Stifel\nStifel is more than 130 years old and still thinking like a start-up.
