This role is responsible for executing mechanical installation work, leading small teams, and ensuring safety, quality, and productivity on site. The position plays a critical role in project success by maintaining strong communication with site leadership, proactively identifying issues, and keeping work aligned with project objectives. This position offers opportunities for leadership growth and expanded responsibility within field operations and project management pathways.We offer:\nLead and oversee daily activities of 1-3 mechanical installers, providing direction, training, and support \nParticipate in and, when needed, lead daily stand-up meetings and coordinate work plans \nExecute mechanical installation tasks including: \nConveyor systems and components \nStructural/header steel installation \nPlatforms, guardrails, and rack systems \nAir piping (aluminum, copper, black iron) \nSupport equipment run-in, startup, and troubleshooting \nWork independently to complete stand-alone tasks as assigned by site leadership \nPromote a strong safety culture by driving: \nBBSO (Behavior-Based Safety Observations) \nJHA (Job Hazard Analysis) and JSA (Job Safety Analysis) \nJobsite safety meetings and compliance \nEnsure excellent housekeeping and organization at job sites \nPerform quality audits to ensure installations meet standards and specifications \nProvide daily site status updates to Project Managers and Site Managers \nIdentify problems as they arise and proactively recommend solutions \nWrite clear, concise trip reports and maintain job documentation \nMay lead operations on alternate shifts when supervisors are not present \nStrong safety leadership and situational awareness \nAbility to read and interpret engineered drawings and layouts \nEffective team leadership and coaching skills \nStrong problem-solving and decision-making ability \nClear and professional communication (written and verbal) \nAbility to work independently and manage competing priorities \nBasic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, reporting tools) \nHands-on experience in mechanical installation of conveyor systems \nExperience with: Structural steel erection and platform installation, Equipment layout and pre-assembly, Industrial piping systems \nExperience leading small teams or providing on-site direction to others \nProven ability to identify and resolve field issues in real time \nExperience working in fast-paced construction or industrial environments \nHigh School Diploma or equivalent (required) \nTechnical degree or specialized training (preferred) \nOSHA safety training (preferred) \nEquivalent field experience may be substituted for formal education \nTasks and Qualifications:\nMust be willing to travel 90% within the continental United States \nMust possess a valid driver’s license \nAbility to lift 50 lbs or more \nAbility to push, pull, squat, crawl, and walk across large construction sites \nMust be able to work in various climates and environments \nDemonstrates commitment to OSHA and company safety standards \nEqual Opportunity Employer -
