customers.We offer:\nWhat You Will do in This Role:\nUnderstands the design of materials handling systems that integrate electrical controls hardware, programming and software to estimate controls solutions for customers.\nCompletes material specification, able to read and comprehend schematics and PLC programs and appropriate follow-up of technical details.\nCompletes recommendations for ideas related to productivity improvement, cost reduction and improvement in customer satisfaction.\nPerforms technical interchange and knowledge transfer for both processes and application of products to system design.\nPerforms full range of standard work for the professional field.\nDiscusses complex, unusual problems with other team members to provide proper controls solutions for customer requests.\nIdentifies and resolves semi-complex problems and applies problem-solving skills in order to deal with most situations.\nProvides general guidance or training support for professional staff.\nTravels 10% (max 20%) to different Customer and Dematic locations across the United States. \nTasks and Qualifications:\nWhat We are Looking For:\nBachelor's in Engineering\n5 years or more of successful experience in related field (controls engineering and material handling)\nExperience in designing and commissioning automated material handling systems, including electrical design, PLC, HMI, and drives.\nExperience with estimating projects preferred (hours required, resources required, etc.)\nProficient in Rockwell Automation PLC programming languages with the RSLogix software.\nUnderstanding of serial and ethernet based communications and protocols.\nMaterial Handling Equipment experience with a focus on conveyance and sortation systems, including PLC hardware upgrades, VFD upgrades, Dematic Flexsort, and industrial networking along with the ability to concept solutions and generate estimates to support Sales requests.\nProficient in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, etc.)\nAble to interpret important areas of standard professional level controls work that typically requires processing and interpreting, more complex, less clearly defined issues. \nDemonstrated ability to determine requirements from customers while selling our ideas\nDemonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills\nWillingness and demonstrated ability to stay current with the latest material handling concepts\nDemonstrated ability to manage numerous opportunities and deadlines\nAbility to reliably forecast and report on the status of
