Safety and quality are at the forefront of our culture.\nJob Purpose:\nThe forklift driver will work to support Production, Quality Assurance, Shipping and Receiving, as needed by providing products such as Raw Materials or Packaging Materials to fulfill product requests for the purpose of completing scheduled product.\nJob Functions:\nMust Operate forklift in safe manner following Cal Osha best practices for PIT Drivers, in and outside of the facility. (Will be Certified by Stir Foods certified trainer) \nEnsure forklift support is at an efficient, proactive, and safe level to support the business. (Line support, raw material, loading, staging, receiving)\nDaily upkeep of warehouse and all work areas are clean. \nRead orders, purchase orders, pack slips, and picking sheets to support the business needs. \nCheck specifications of materials loaded or unloaded against information contained in work orders. \nInform designated management or departments of items loaded or problems encountered while operating a forklift. \nExamine freight to determine loading sequences. \nDaily adhere to company GMP’s and SOP’s. \nPerform work duties in a timely manner. \nMake sure freezer requirements are pulled and completed weekly. \nInspect forklift equipment and report any issues or repairs needed daily.\nKeep forklift equipment clean, and safely stored, always. \nInspect warehouse sites to determine the extent of maintenance or repairs needed. (Damaged racks, floor, pallets, bags, and report observations)\nDaily fueling or charging of equipment to ensure the business is not slowed down due to poorly maintained operating equipment. \nPerform other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned. \nSkills:\nKnowledge of ERP, WM, and inventory management software is preferred. \nAbility to demonstrate proficient reading and comprehension skills in English.\nAbility to work under pressure while maintaining safe driving a priority. \nRF Scanning experience.\nTeam Player\nProcess Oriented\nExperience:\nMinimum of 3 years plus experience operating the stand-up reach.\nPlease note this job description is not a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
