The Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community organization that assists people without regard for religious affiliation or lack thereof through comprehensive case management and integrated social service programs. The Center enjoys broad-based community support as well as a sponsored relationship with its founders, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. St. Joseph Center serves approximately 6,000 individuals annually.\nBrief Description of Principal Activities\nMultifaceted intervention, prevention, and education services are carried out at four sites on the Westside of Los Angeles. St. Joseph Center’s integrated programs provide clients with concentrated and coordinated access to services according to the nature of their needs.\n ABOUT THE ROLE\nThe Skid Row Care Campus is a comprehensive, low-barrier service center providing individuals experiencing homelessness with access to hygiene facilities, case management, health and behavioral health services, and connections to housing and other essential resources. The Campus offers a safe, welcoming, and trauma-informed environment that promotes dignity, stability, and pathways to long-term housing.\nThe Facilities Lead is a hands-on working lead who coordinates Facilities Specialist assignments, monitors interior and exterior campus conditions, responds to routine maintenance and environmental needs, and escalates building-system or specialized repair concerns.\nWHAT YOU’LL DO\nCoordinate daily Facilities assignments, priorities, coverage, and campus walkthroughs.\nLead and participate in cleaning, groundskeeping, waste removal, routine maintenance, and campus-readiness activities.\nIdentify environmental hazards, maintenance needs, and building-system concerns and coordinate timely response or escalation.\nSupport Facilities staff through day-to-day guidance, training, quality checks, and reinforcement of PPE and safety procedures.\n WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR\nTwo or more years of experience in facilities, environmental or custodial services, building maintenance, property operations, groundskeeping, or a related field preferred.\nPrior lead, team-coordination, or comparable experience preferred.\nExperience with commercial cleaning, exterior maintenance, basic building repairs, and cleaning equipment preferred.\nStrong organization, communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and ability to prioritize multiple facility needs.\n Our Values\nDignity | Community | Integrity | Partnership | Social Justice | Radical Care\nWork Environment\nRegular use of a computer and HR technology platforms is required, along with the ability to manage detailed records and sustained periods of screen-based work.
