Our technology starts with you.\nYOUR ROLE\nLocated in Diegem/Zaventem, we are a Software Design Center and cryptography center of excellence, specialized in developing innovative secure software solutions for authentication solutions used in everyday life, from satellite based and IoT networks to printers and smartphones.\nWe are looking for a talented mid-level embedded software engineer with a versatile skillset to contribute to the design of state-of-the-art secure embedded software products:\nBuild, improve, and maintain CI pipelines for all secure software developments\nPrototype and integrate AI agents to assist code generation, review, test creation, and documentation\nDevelop and optimize secure bare-metal embedded software for resource-constrained devices\nWork closely with cryptographers, security experts, architects, and validation teams across the full product lifecycle\nYOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES\nTechnologies we use\nLanguages: C, assembly (RISC-V and ARM), Python\nVersion control & collaboration: Git, GitHub Enterprise\nCI/CD & automation: Jenkins\nVirtualization & environments: Docker, Ansible, WSL, VMware\nAI tooling: GitHub Copilot, local LLMs.\n\nProfile\nYou have a degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, with around 5 years of relevant professional experience.\n\nYou have experience with or interest in multiple of the following topics:\nEmbedded systems architecture, development, or test\nAI agents, AI coding tools and AI workflows\nDevOps/DevSecOps, CI pipelines\nEmbedded security and cryptography\nSystem architecture\n\nNote that we are not looking for an expert in all these areas, but rather someone with exposure to some of them, with an ability to proactively adapt and learn.\n\nYou are autonomous, curious, proactive, and passionate about innovation and emerging technologies.\n\nYou have a continuous improvement and learning mindset.\n\nYou are a team player with good communication skills.\n\nST is proud to be one of the 17 companies certified as a 2025 Global Top Employer and the first and only semiconductor company to achieve this distinction.
