Our technology starts with you.\nJob Description\nSTMicroelectronics (Malta) Ltd is seeking highly motivated Maintenance - Junior Technicians / Technicians / Senior Technician to join our Equipment Engineering team within the Operations department. The job holders shall be responsible for complex technical maintenance of assigned equipment, to keep high Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) on assigned equipment and for the preventive maintenance (PM) and upkeep of equipment and maintenance areas.\nThe job holders shall work on a 4 Shift pattern, consisting of Day (06:00 till 18:00), Night (18:00 till 06:00), Rest, and Off, including weekends and Public Holidays.\nDuties & Responsibilities\nThe responsibilities include, but are not limited to:\nPerforming complex technical maintenance on assigned equipment.\nPerforming major technical interventions, including Preventive Maintenance (PM).\nPerforming Detectability Robustness Self-Prevention (DRS) checks.\nMaking interventions in the shortest time possible.\nGuiding Junior Technicians and Operators, as required.\nCompleting the necessary documentation.\nEntering data in IT system.\nMaintaining an ordered and clean toolbox and workshop.\nWorking in a safe manner.\nSkills & Qualifications\nThe ideal candidate shall\nPossess at least diploma (MQF Level 4 Qualification) in a Technical/Engineering related subject.\nAt least 3 years of experience in the similar field.\nHave a good understanding of Safe Working and 5S Practices.\nBe able to use Mobile devices for work related tasks (Intervention documentation, RTP).\nPossess good communication skills, both verbal and written.\nHave a good command of the English language.\nBe responsible and mature.\nBe smart and goal oriented.\nBe flexible, adaptable to needs and be able to take decisions following continuous inputs.\nBe computer literate.\nBe disciplined, motivated and willing to work in a team.\nBe able to work with minimal supervision and under own initiative.\nPreferably be knowledgeable of electronics industry manufacturing equipment. \nST is proud to be one of the 17 companies certified as a 2025 Global Top Employer and the first and only semiconductor company to achieve this distinction.
