Our technology starts with you.\nYOUR ROLE\nWe are seeking a highly motivated Metal Process Engineer to join our Power Front-End Technology R&D team. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of advanced metal processing technologies and materials solutions for next-generation products. This position is ideal for recent Master's graduates interested in applying their knowledge of materials science, metallurgy, and process engineering in an innovative research environment.\nThe engineer will work closely with senior researchers and cross-functional teams to support process development, experimentation, characterization, and technology transfer activities.\nProcess Research & Development\nSupport the development and optimization of metal processing technologies.\nConduct laboratory experiments and evaluate process performance.\nAssist in designing and executing Design of Experiments (DOE).\nCollect, analyze, and interpret experimental data.\nMaterials Characterization\nPerform materials characterization using analytical and microscopy techniques.\nInvestigate relationships between process conditions, microstructure, and material properties.\nSupport root cause analysis of material and process-related issues.\nInnovation Projects\nParticipate in R&D projects focused on new materials, advanced manufacturing processes, and technology development.\nReview technical literature, scientific publications, and emerging technologies.\nContribute to technical reports, presentations, and project reviews.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nCollaborate with process engineers, product developers, manufacturing, and quality teams.\nSupport prototype builds and technology demonstration activities\npartecipate in knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiative \nYOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES\nMaster's Degree in: Materials Science and Engineering\nMetallurgical Engineering\nMechanical Engineering\nChemical Engineering\nPhysics or related disciplines\n\nCandidates should demonstrate knowledge in several of the following areas:\nPhysical metallurgy and materials science fundamentals.\nMetal processing technologies and manufacturing principles.\nMaterials characterization techniques.\nStatistical data analysis and experimental methodology.\nThermodynamics, kinetics, and phase transformations.\nMechanical properties and microstructure characterization.\nBasic data analysis tools (Excel, MATLAB, JMP, Python, or equivalent).\nHands-on experience acquired through academic research or laboratory activities.\nKnowledge of: Metallography\nSEM/EDS\nXRD\nMechanical testing\nSurface characterization techniques\n\nExperience with Design of Experiments (DOE) during research projects.\nExposure to scientific writing and technical presentations.\nBasic understanding of semiconductor, electronics, automotive, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing applications.\nKey Competencies\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nCuriosity and passion for research and innovation.\nAbility to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.\nEffective teamwork and communication skills.\nInitiative and willingness to work in a multidisciplinary environment.\nStrong attention to detail and scientific rigor.\nThe expected salary range for this position is €38,000 - €45,000 gross annual salary (RAL).\nIn accordance with the EU Pay Transparency Directive and applicable Italian legislation, this compensation range has been determined based on objective, gender-neutral criteria, including job responsibilities, required skills, relevant experience, qualifications, and market benchmarks. Placement within the range will depend on the candidate’s profile and demonstrated competencies.
