Our technology starts with you.\nSenior Application Engineer - Digital Audio & Signal Solutions\nThe Application Team of the Digital Audio and Signal Solutions division (MDRF/RFOC Subgroup) is selecting a Senior Engineer to support its strategy for growth.\nThe selected candidate will join a highly skilled, cross-functional team working on advanced solutions including Automotive Infotainment Systems, Audio Amplifiers, Radio Tuners, and Communication ICs for Electric Vehicles.\nRole Overview\nAs a Senior Application Engineer, you will play a key technical role in bridging product development and customer adoption. You will drive system-level integration, validation, and optimization, while acting as a trusted technical interface for both internal stakeholders and strategic customers.\nYou will contribute across the full product lifecycle-from concept and development to customer deployment-ensuring high-quality, competitive, and scalable solutions.\nYou will work with System Architectures and Technical Marketing teams to define products and to enable proof of concept demonstrations.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead HW/SW integration andsystem validation for complex embedded automotive and industrial platforms\nDrive application design, performance optimization, andbenchmarking against competitors\nOwn customer technical support activities, including on-site debugging and issue resolution\nDevelop application boards, prototypes, and reference designs\nProduce high-quality application documentation (Application Notes, guidelines, best practices)\nDefine and execute functional, electrical, and system-level validation plans\nCollaborate closely with R&D (HW/SW), System Architecture, and Technical Marketing teams\nEngage with customers and Field Application Engineers (FAEs) to ensure successful product adoption\nRequired Qualifications\nMaster’s degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent\nStrong expertise across several of the following domains:Analog/digital hardware debugging, lab equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum and protocol analyzers, etc.) andmeasurement techniques\nSmart Power, RF, and/or Audio systems\nEmbedded systems and microprocessors\n Firmware development (C language) and embedded OS (Linux, FreeRTOS)\n Communication protocols (SPI, I2C, I2S, CAN, Ethernet)\n\nProven experience with: Software toolchains and advanced debugging (e.g., Lauterbach or similar tools)\nBoard design, bring-up, and prototyping\nSystem-level validation and troubleshooting\n\nSolid understanding of Automotive Infotainment, Audio, or Industrial systems\nStrong problem-solving mindset with the ability to work autonomously\nProduction of high-quality technical documentation\nFluent in Business English\nNice-to-Have Skills\nFPGA development using Xilinx Vivado\nKnowledge of VHDL orVerilog\n Scripting Languages (Python, Shell scripts) and test automation methodologies\nExperience withhigh-speed interfaces or advanced audio architectures\nExposure to automotive standards andcompliance requirements\nWhat We’re Looking For\nA fast learner with strong curiosity and passion for innovation\nAbility to operate effectively in cross-functional and international environments\nAcustomer-oriented mindset, combining technical depth with communication skills\nProactivity, ownership, teamwork and the ability to influence technical decisions\nLocation\nThe role is based in Agrate or Cornaredo (Italy), with flexibility depending on team needs.\nWhy This Role\nThis is an opportunity to:\nWork on cutting-edge automotive and EV technologies\nInfluence product success at system level\nGain strong exposure to customers, markets, and innovation strategy\nGrow into technical leadership or system architecture roles\nThe expected salary range for this position is € 45,000 - €55,000 gross annual salary (RAL), plus variable pay relevant for the role.\nIn accordance with the EU Pay Transparency Directive and applicable Italian legislation, this compensation range has been determined based on objective, gender-neutral criteria, including job responsibilities, required skills, relevant experience, qualifications, and market benchmarks. Placement within the range will depend on the candidate’s profile and demonstrated competencies. The final offer will be made in compliance with the applicable National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL), where relevant, and our internal compensation policies.
