Our technology starts with you.\nCONTEXT\nWe are looking to strengthen our MCU system architecture team lineup with an additional security architect, in consideration of the widening of its product base and of the imminent coming into effect of the european Cyber Resilience Act.\nROLE SUMMARY\nWe are looking for a Security Architect to lead the definition, analysis, and implementation of hardware and software security features for part of our next-generation microcontroller products targeting automotive, industrial, humanoid robotics, and general purpose applications.\nThe ideal candidate will be a senior professional with deep expertise in security architectures, and with hands on experience in execution according to security standards (e.g. SESIP, ISO62443, ISO21434).\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nDefine security concepts and security architectures for microcontroller products.\nExecute threat analysis activities and related risk assessments (e.g. automotive TARA), to drive the identification and definition of appropriate security features and countermeasures, and to develop guidance for proper usage of our microcontrollers.\nDerive and document HW/SW security requirements from top-level security goals and use cases.\nIdentify and specify security features for the protection of assets and functionalities available in each product, such as:intrusion protection mechanisms for debug and test interfaces\nlogical and physical isolation mechanisms\ncountermeasures against physical attacks\ncryptographic accelerators\n\nThrough team alignment, ensure coherence of the security solutions deployed on our product-base, pursuing convergence whenever possible.\nDevelop and maintain security-related architectural documentation.\nCooperate with design, DFT, verification, validation, firmware, validation, and software teams to ensure security requirements are correctly implemented and verified.\nReview product architecture against applicable standards and customer security requirements.\nSupport security claims and compliance arguments in internal and external audits, for the assigned products.\nParticipate in design reviews, risk assessments, and cross-functional security assessments.\nContribute to the definition of the roadmap for reusable security IP and architectural security guidelines.\nParticipate in Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT) activities for analysis of vulnerabilities on products of competence.\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS\nDegree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related field.\nExperience in security architectures for microcontrollers, SoCs, or embedded systems.\nKnowledge of security mechanisms and cryptographic operations.\nHands-on experience with security standards such as:ISO21434 for automotive\nISO62443-4-x for industrial components\nSESIP for IoT platforms\n\nExperience in threat analysis.\nUnderstanding of microcontroller architecture concepts as:CPU and memory protection mechanisms\naccess control mechanisms \ncryptographic HW accelerators\nimpact of architectural decisions on performance and area metrics\n\nAbility to translate system-level security requirements into actionable architectural requirements for implementation teams.\nStrong documentation and communication skills, with proven ability to work across hardware and software disciplines.\nKEY COMPETENCIES\nStrong capability to work in team and knowledge sharing attitude are paramount.\nSystems thinking and architectural rigor.\nStrong analytical and risk-assessment mindset.\nAbility to engage in complex tradeoff decisions to balance security, flexibility, testability, cost, time-to-market.\nCross-functional leadership and stakeholder alignment.\nClear technical writing and presentation skills.\nOwnership, pragmatism, and attention to detail.\n TYPICAL DELIVERABLES\nSecurity Concept.\nSecurity Architecture specification.\nTARA (Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment).\nSecurity Target (for SESIP certification).\nSecurity IP specification documents.\nReference Manuals (security sections).\nWHAT WE OFFER\nOpportunity to shape the security architecture of next-generation microcontrollers. \nWork in a high-impact role at the intersection of architecture, design, verification, technology, engineering and customers. \nA well-established team, with a highly collaborative and sharing attitude and strong technical skills.\nThe expected salary range for this position is € 60,000 - €75,000 gross annual salary (RAL), plus variable pay relevant for the role.\nIn accordance with the EU Pay Transparency Directive and applicable Italian legislation, this compensation range has been determined based on objective, gender-neutral criteria, including job responsibilities, required skills, relevant experience, qualifications, and market benchmarks. Placement within the range will depend on the candidate’s profile and demonstrated competencies. The final offer will be made in compliance with the applicable National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL), where relevant, and our internal compensation policies.
