The ideal candidate combines construction-industry knowledge, market insight, and strong communication skills to help Ajax win high-quality work and build lasting client partnerships.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\n· Research Jacksonville and Northeast Florida markets to identify target clients, emerging opportunities, and industry trends\nBuild and manage a strong pipeline through proactive prospecting, networking, and relationship development\nDevelop trusted relationships with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, and industry partners\nPartner with senior leadership to establish regional growth strategies, goals, and pursuit priorities\nReview and qualify RFQs, RFPs, and other opportunities, contributing to informed go/no-go decisions\nCoordinate pursuit strategy, proposals, presentations, and interviews with marketing, preconstruction, operations, and leadership teams\nMaintain accurate client, opportunity, pursuit, and pipeline information in Salesforce\nRepresent Ajax through professional associations, civic organizations, conferences, networking events, and other market-facing activities\nPromote a collaborative, team-oriented environment and uphold Ajax’s commitment to quality\nQUALIFICATIONS\n5+ years of construction-industry experience, preferably including project development, business development, sales, marketing, preconstruction, or operations\nBachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, construction management, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience will be considered\nKnowledge of public-sector and institutional construction markets preferred\nStrong understanding of construction concepts, project delivery methods, and pursuit practices\nDemonstrated ability to build relationships, develop professional networks, and advance business opportunities\nExcellent written, verbal, presentation, listening, and interpersonal skills\nStrong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple pursuits simultaneously\nProficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat; Salesforce or other CRM experience preferred\nAbility to travel as needed and periodically attend evening and weekend events\nABOUT AJAX\nFounded in 1958, Ajax Building Company is a leading commercial contractor delivering complex, high-impact projects across the Southeast.
