CSA Construction Manager

Structure Tone Mission Critical | Data Centre Construction | Ireland / Europe

About Structure Tone Mission Critical

Salary: €75K - €85K

Structure Tone Mission Critical delivers complex, high-performance environments where safety, quality, programme certainty and technical excellence are essential.

As our mission-critical portfolio continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced CSA Construction Manager to lead the delivery of Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) packages across large-scale data centre construction projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious construction professional to take a leading role in the delivery of technically complex, programme-driven projects, working alongside experienced construction and engineering teams to deliver critical infrastructure for some of the world's leading technology and data centre clients.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Director or Project Manager, the CSA Construction Manager will take overall responsibility for the planning, coordination and execution of CSA construction activities throughout the project lifecycle.

The successful candidate will provide leadership across site management teams, subcontractors and specialist contractors, ensuring all CSA packages are delivered safely, to the required quality standards and in accordance with the agreed programme and commercial objectives.

A key aspect of the role will be managing interfaces between CSA and MEP packages, driving construction sequencing, resolving technical challenges and ensuring the project team maintains the required momentum to achieve critical milestones.

We are looking for a strong construction leader who combines technical knowledge with commercial awareness, strategic planning and the ability to drive performance across multiple workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall delivery of CSA construction packages, including earthworks, foundations, reinforced concrete, structural steel, building envelope, roofing and architectural finishes.
  • Develop and implement construction execution strategies, ensuring works are properly planned, resourced and sequenced to meet project milestones.
  • Manage and lead CSA Site Managers, package managers, supervisors and subcontractors, establishing clear responsibilities and accountability across the team.
  • Work closely with the Project Director, Project Manager and planning team to maintain programme performance, identify critical path activities and implement recovery strategies where required.
  • Coordinate CSA activities with MEP, commissioning and other project teams to manage interfaces, eliminate clashes and maintain efficient construction sequencing.
  • Oversee subcontractor performance, monitoring productivity, labour resources, quality, safety and progress against contractual commitments.
  • Drive proactive risk management, identifying potential programme, technical, commercial and construction risks and implementing appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Work collaboratively with design managers, consultants and engineering teams to resolve technical queries, manage design changes and ensure buildability.
  • Maintain a strong focus on health and safety, promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring compliance with project and statutory requirements.
  • Oversee quality assurance processes, inspection and test plans, non-conformance management and the timely close-out of defects.
  • Support commercial management through the monitoring of subcontractor progress, scope changes, variations and potential delays, ensuring issues are identified and communicated promptly.
  • Lead construction progress meetings and provide clear, accurate reporting on programme status, key risks, resources and upcoming milestones.
  • Ensure construction documentation, inspection records and handover deliverables are completed in line with project requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency and best practice across CSA construction activities.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years' experience in construction, with significant experience in a Construction Manager or senior site management position.
  • Proven track record delivering large-scale commercial, industrial or data centre construction projects.
  • Strong technical understanding of civil, structural and architectural construction methodologies.
  • Demonstrable experience leading multiple subcontractors, site management teams and complex construction packages.
  • Experience managing programme-critical activities, construction sequencing and multidisciplinary interfaces.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, subcontractor management, commercial awareness and change control.
  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety, quality assurance and construction compliance requirements.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, technical submissions and project programmes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, planning and decision-making skills.
  • Relevant third-level qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline is desirable.

Highly Desirable: Direct experience delivering hyperscale or colocation data centre projects, including complex CSA/MEP interfaces, phased construction programmes and critical milestone management.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be a confident and proactive construction leader who can manage complexity, drive accountability and maintain control of multiple workstreams in a demanding project environment.

You will have the ability to lead and develop site teams, challenge subcontractor performance constructively and anticipate potential issues before they affect programme, quality or cost.

You will understand the importance of collaboration between CSA, MEP, design and commissioning teams, recognising that successful data centre delivery depends on effective planning, disciplined execution and strong communication across all project disciplines.

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to lead CSA delivery on major data centre and mission-critical construction projects.
  • Exposure to technically complex, high-value construction programmes.
  • A collaborative working environment alongside experienced construction and engineering professionals.
  • Opportunities for career progression as Structure Tone Mission Critical continues to grow.
  • A competitive salary and benefits package aligned with experience and responsibilities.
