The role involves implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections, coordinating testing activities, and ensuring continuous quality improvement throughout the project lifecycle.\nDuties\nDevelop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).\n\nEnsure construction works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and relevant codes and standards.\n\nConduct site inspections and monitor ongoing works to ensure quality requirements are met.\n\nCoordinate with consultants, clients, and third-party inspectors for inspections and approvals.\n\nReview and approve material submittals, method statements, and technical documents related to quality.\n\nEnsure proper implementation of quality control procedures for civil, structural, architectural, and MEP works (as applicable).\n\nIdentify non-conformances (NCRs), recommend corrective/preventive actions, and verify their closure.\n\nMonitor testing activities (concrete, soil, welding, NDT, etc.) and review test reports.\n\nMaintain quality records, inspection reports, and as-built documentation.\n\nConduct internal audits and assist in external audits as required.\n\nPromote a culture of quality awareness on site through training and toolbox talks.\n\nCoordinate with construction teams to resolve quality issues efficiently without impacting schedules.\n\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.\n\nCertification in QA/QC (e.g., ISO 9001, CSWIP, AWS, or equivalent) is an advantage.\n\nMinimum 5 years of experience in QA/QC within the construction industry.\n\nStrong knowledge of international standards (ASTM, BS, ACI, ISO, etc.).\n\nUnderstands and applies building codes and other design requirements correctly and reads blueprints accurately.\n\nHas good understanding and knowledge of subcontractors' scopes of work and tolerances.\n\nHas good written and verbal communication skills: expresses ideas clearly and effectively; uses proper grammar and syntax.(Basic Spanish preferred)\n\nHas good finish carpentry skills relevant to commercial interior work; install finishes to specifications as needed.\n\nHas good administrative skills: monitors the progress and coordination of work activities; keeps other members of the organization informed of progress and problems.\n\nHas good management skills: establishes techniques to effectively and proactively monitor and supervise the work of subordinates and to follow up on the results of delegated assignments.\n\nMaintains integrity: maintains the normal standards of ethics, conduct, and organizational policies in job-related activities.\n\nHas excellent problem-solving ability: finds and uses relationships between data from different sources to formulate alternative solutions.\n\nIs a team player: works well with other people; takes time to help co-workers, customers, subcontractors and others achieve their goals and assignments.\n\nMaintains good interpersonal relationships: uses tact; is sensitive to the feelings and needs of others.\n\nIs organized: establishes priorities and a course of action for handling multiple tasks.\n\nPlans effectively: establishes courses of action for self and for others; allocates resources and assigns personnel; uses time efficiently; is personally well-organized.\n\nIs professional: displays appropriate appearance and professional conduct; makes a good impression on others.\n\nShows initiative: actively tries to influence events to achieve goals; is a self-starter, working well with minimal supervision; strives to achieve goals beyond minimal levels of performance.\n\nHas the ability to operate office equipment, such as fax, copier, and telephone.
