This role focuses on enabling teams to execute, maintain, and improve automated testing rather than developing individual test cases.\nWhat you'll do\nTest Execution and Reliability\nManage automated test execution in the Lamdatest test environment.\nMonitor test runs and investigate recurring, intermittent, and flaky failures.\nSupport regression, integration, end-to-end, and release validation activities.\nImprove test execution speed, stability, scalability, and maintainability.\nReduce test duplication and identify opportunities to expand automation coverage.\nAutomation Platforms and Frameworks\nMaintain, troubleshoot, and enhance existing automation frameworks.\nIntegrate automated tests into shared execution workflows and CI/CD pipelines.\nStandardize framework usage, test tagging, test organization, and execution patterns.\nImprove test reporting, dashboards, notifications, and test health visibility.\nMaintain test environments, test data, configuration, dependencies, and execution infrastructure.\nCross-Functional Quality Engineering\nAnalyze failures across application, automation, environment, data, and infrastructure layers.\nPartner with developers and platform teams to identify root causes and implement solutions.\nImprove application testability and increase release confidence.\nImplement and maintain automated quality gates within CI/CD pipelines.\nSupport post-release validation and investigations involving testing or test environments.\nDocument setup procedures, execution workflows, troubleshooting steps, and operational guidelines.\nImprove the quality engineering platform and developer experience through continuous process and tooling enhancements.\nAbout you\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.\n4+ years of experience in SDET, test automation, quality engineering, or a similar engineering role.\nStrong programming skills in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.\nHands-on experience maintaining and enhancing automated test frameworks.\nExperience with UI automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or WebdriverIO.\nExperience with API automation and validation using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools.\nExperience managing automated test execution in shared or non-production environments.\nStrong understanding of automation architecture, execution strategies, and failure analysis.\nFamiliarity with Git-based development workflows and CI/CD pipelines.\nExperience implementing or supporting automated quality gates.\nStrong troubleshooting skills across application, automation, environment, and infrastructure layers.\nAbility to influence and support multiple engineering teams without directly owning their codebases.\nExcellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.\nExperience with Playwright or other modern automation frameworks.\nExperience managing automated test execution in a centralized test environment.\nExperience with CircleCI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Harness, or similar CI/CD platforms.\nExperience with flaky test detection, retry strategies, parallel execution, and test reporting.\nExposure to AWS or other cloud platforms.\nUnderstanding of microservices and distributed systems.\nExperience with SQL and database validation.\nExperience managing test data, service dependencies, environment configuration, or containerized execution.\nExposure to observability, logging, monitoring, and debugging tools.\nExperience standardizing automation practices across multiple engineering teams.\nExperience with AI-assisted testing tools and quality engineering practices.\n\nAbout StockX\n\n StockX is proud to be a Detroit-based technology leader focused on the large and growing online market for sneakers, apparel, accessories, electronics, collectibles, trading cards, and more.
