As a Test Technician at our Kent site, you will be responsible for collaborating with other engineers and technicians to test rocket components, design and build test facilities rapidly, as well as operate and maintain them efficiently once they are up and running. You will work with hardware and software, mechanical systems, fluid systems and electrical systems. You must be ready to stay focused, move fast, self-direct, and learn on the fly.\nKey Responsibilities\nPrecision assembly of test systems for aerospace hardware, directed by both written and verbal instructions\nExecute work orders for component and assembly tests; documentation of test steps\nOperate, maintain, and troubleshoot fluid, mechanical, instrumentation, and control systems for various test applications\nIdentification of discrepancies, authoring of nonconformance reports, coordination with engineering on dispositions, detailed documentation of steps\nTrain personnel on the required processes and operations of complex test systems\nEnsure testing is always conducted safely\nImprove efficiency of testing to increase hardware throughput \nAs part of a small team, you will also perform everyday tasks to keep the site running (shipping and receiving, administrative tasks, etc.)\nQualifications\n5+ years of experience working on mechanical, fluid, or electrical systems\n2+ years experience in a test focused role\nDetailed understanding of fittings, threads, inserts, seals, and other sub-component parts\nAssembly experience with Oxygen, Cryogenic, and FOD intolerant service components and systems\nAble to lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted\nAble to stand for extended periods\nAble to stoop, bend, crawl, and maneuver in tight spaces\nPassion for building something with high quality, willing to attend work with a positive and humble attitude, and willing to take ownership of large and small tasks to help the team be successful\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to work second shift and weekends as needed\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with high pressure and cryogenic environments\nExperience with data acquisition and control systems\nExperience working with complex mechanical and/or electrical systems and the ability to read drawings and system schematics\nBenefits\nEquity - We know that our employees are the reason we succeed.
