Pay Range:$15/hour + Tips
Job Summary: The Banquet Captain is responsible foroverseeing the setup, service, and breakdown of banquet events to ensure a high levelof guest satisfaction. This role works closely with the Banquet Manager to coordinate banquet operations, supervise staff, and maintainservice standards for all events.
Essential Functionsand Duties:
Provide professional and courteous service at all timesduring banquet events.
Ensure timelyand efficient setupof all function rooms in accordance withevent specifications.
Maintain inventory levels of banquet supplies and equipment.
Supervise and direct banquet servers, bartenders, and house-persons to ensure consistent service.
Work with the Banquet Manager to manage event schedules and last-minute changes.
Ensure proper cleaning and storage of all banquet equipment after events.
Coordinate with clients during events to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
Assistin setting up function rooms according to client and event requirements.
Collaborate with the kitchen and other departments to ensure smooth service flow during events.
Conduct pre-event meetings to communicate event details to staff.

Required Experience, Education, and Skills:
2+ years of experience in banquet or event management, preferably in a supervisory role.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and make adjustmentsas needed.
Knowledge of banquet setups, service standards, and health/safety regulations.
Proficiencyin using point-of-sale systems and event management software.
Ability to work well under pressure and maintaina positive attitude in high-paced environments.
Work Environment:
Primarily an indoor work environment with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
Frequent standing, walking, and lifting of up to 20 lbs.
Requires walking and standing for extended periods, with occasional lifting and handling of event equipment.
Must be available to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
