This role includes mastering various coffee brewing techniques and maintaining a clean and organized work environment to enhance the guest experience.\nEssential Functions and Duties:\nPrepare and serve coffee beverages, including espresso drinks, brewed coffee, and tea, according to established recipes. \nMaintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station, ensuring compliance with sanitation standards. \nOperate coffee machines, grinders, and brewing equipment safely and efficiently. \nInteract with guests in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders and answering questions about the menu. \nMonitor inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies, replenishing as needed. \nProcess guest payments accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale (POS) systems. \nFollow food safety guidelines for the handling and preparation of ingredients. \nPerform opening and closing duties, including cleaning equipment and restocking supplies. \nEnsure a pleasant and welcoming environment for guests by maintaining the coffee area’s appearance. \nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.\nRequired Experience, Education, and Skills:\nPrevious experience in a coffee shop or barista role is preferred. \nStrong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests. \nKnowledge of coffee brewing techniques, including espresso preparation, is a plus. \nAbility to operate coffee machines, grinders, and other brewing equipment. \nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail. \nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks. \nWork Environment:\nPrimarily an indoor environment with frequent standing and walking required throughout the shift. \nExposure to coffee machines, grinders, and other hot beverage equipment. \nMust be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. and perform repetitive physical tasks, such as brewing, cleaning, and stocking. \nFlexibility to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as required. \nOther Duties:\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the team member for this job.
