This role manages maintenance staff and contractors, ensuring compliance with safety standards and timely completion of projects to maintain guest satisfaction and hotel operations.\nEssential Functions and Duties:\nProvide professional and courteous guest service at all times. \nSupervise maintenance operations, including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water treatment, A/C units, lighting, and fire/life safety systems. \nMonitor and manage energy consumption (electric, gas, oil, water) for efficiency. \nOversee contracted services (electrical, plumbing, cleaning) to meet hotel standards and guest expectations. \nSupervise maintenance staff, including hiring, training, evaluations, and scheduling. \nEnsure timely and accurate completion of all maintenance projects according to specifications. \nCoordinate with Housekeeping and Security on operations, key control, and safety procedures. \nAssist with project planning and work closely with architects and contractors on bids and blueprints. \nManage maintenance agreements and contracts, including landscaping and snow removal. \nDevelop and maintain maintenance programs for guest rooms, public spaces, and hotel equipment. \nPerform inventory management, purchasing duties, and budget development for the department. \nEnsure cleanliness and organization of workspaces and attend meetings as required by the General Manager. \nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.\nRequired Experience, Education, and Skills:\nMinimum of 2-4 years of experience in hotel engineering or maintenance management. \nStrong knowledge of systems including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water treatment, and energy controls. \nProven ability to manage maintenance staff and contractors, including hiring, training, and evaluation. \nExperience with budgeting, inventory management, and purchasing for maintenance operations. \nExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle emergency situations effectively. \nStrong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail in project planning and execution. \nAbility to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with other departments, vendors, and management. \nFamiliarity with safety and compliance protocols, including training staff on emergency procedures. \nWork Environment:\nWork involves both indoor and outdoor environments, with exposure to varying temperatures. \nFrequent walking, standing, and lifting of objects up to 50 lbs. \nExposure to noise, vibration, and mechanical equipment during maintenance tasks. \nMust be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, with potential on-call responsibilities for emergencies. \nOther Duties:\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the team member for this job.
