This role ensures the smooth execution of conventions and events while working with the Director of Sales to meet the hotel’s revenue and guest satisfaction targets.\nEssential Functions and Duties:\nAchieve assigned meeting planner satisfaction scores, revenue goals, and food and beverage targets. \nConduct solicitation calls, property tours, and client entertainment to secure business. \nMonitor and evaluate trends within the assigned market segment. \nDevelop a comprehensive understanding of hotel operations and policies. \nEnsure timely and accurate delivery of banquet event orders and communicate changes to relevant departments. \nMaintain visibility in local community and industry organizations to build relationships and generate business. \nAssist with special promotions related to direct sales segments, including participation in sales blitzes. \nAttend and participate in daily, weekly, and monthly meetings as required by management. \nCollaborate with the Director of Sales or Director of Catering to meet revenue and event goals. \nBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster repeat business and client satisfaction. \nEnsure all events are executed according to client specifications, maintaining high service standards. \nProvide timely and accurate reports on event outcomes and client feedback to management. \nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.\nRequired Experience, Education, and Skills:\nMinimum of 2 years of experience in event management, hotel management, or convention center operations. \nBachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Event Management, or a related field preferred. \nStrong knowledge of event planning, food and beverage management, and convention services. \nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, staff, and vendors. \nAbility to manage multiple events and meet revenue and service goals. \nStrong organizational skills with attention to detail. \nProficiency in Microsoft Office and event management software. \nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, handling various tasks and responsibilities simultaneously. \nWork Environment:\nPrimarily indoor work with frequent walking, standing, and lifting of objects up to 20 lbs. \nMust be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the demands of scheduled events. \nRegular interaction with clients, hotel staff, and vendors in a fast-paced, event-driven environment. \nOther Duties:\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the team member for this job.
