This role manages the maintenance staff, coordinates projects, and ensures that hotel facilities are maintained to the highest standards of safety and guest satisfaction.\nEssential Functions and Duties:\nProvide professional and courteous guest service at all times. \nSupervise maintenance operations, including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water treatment, A/C units, and hotel equipment. \nMonitor energy consumption (electric, gas, oil, water) and manage resources efficiently. \nMaintain inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and keep accurate records of usage and purchases. \nEnsure that all contracted services (electrical, plumbing, cleaning) meet hotel standards and exceed guest expectations. \nSupervise maintenance associates, ensuring all tasks and projects are completed on time and to specifications. \nCoordinate with Housekeeping and Security to maintain smooth operations and key control. \nOversee the ongoing maintenance program for guest rooms, public spaces, and hotel equipment. \nMaintain cleanliness and organization of all workspaces and storage areas. \nPerform inventory and purchasing duties as required. \nEnsure timely completion of maintenance projects and report progress to the Chief Engineer. \nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.\nRequired Experience, Education, and Skills:\nMinimum of 2-4 years of experience in hotel maintenance or engineering. \nStrong knowledge of systems including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, and energy controls. \nExperience supervising maintenance staff and coordinating projects. \nAbility to monitor energy consumption and manage inventory and purchasing. \nStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills. \nExcellent communication skills for interacting with team members, guests, and management. \nAbility to respond quickly to emergencies and ensure safety protocols are followed. \nProficiency in managing maintenance budgets and reporting on operations. \nWork Environment:\nWork involves both indoor and outdoor environments, with exposure to varying temperatures. \nFrequent walking, standing, and lifting of objects up to 50 lbs. \nExposure to noise, vibration, and mechanical equipment during maintenance tasks. \nMust be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, with potential on-call responsibilities for emergencies. \nOther Duties:\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the team member for this job.
