This role manages client relationships, coordinates catering events, and collaborates with the sales team to maximize catering sales and guest satisfaction.\nEssential Functions and Duties:\nProvide professional and courteous service at all times. \nMake selective solicitation calls to potential clients. \nFollow up on leads through phone calls, correspondence, or personal visits. \nDevelop and implement innovative sales and marketing techniques. \nPlan, supervise, and coordinate all catered functions to ensure hotel obligations are met. \nMaintain an organized filing system for accounts and prepare required reports. \nBuild and maintain relationships with clients, group leaders, and meeting planners to foster additional business. \nAttend and oversee catered events to ensure successful execution and client satisfaction. \nMaintain good rapport with local civic groups and associations to generate business. \nPrepare monthly banquet food and beverage revenue forecasts and reports. \nWork closely with the sales department to minimize tentative holds on public space. \nAttend weekly sales and staff meetings. \nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.\nRequired Experience, Education, and Skills:\nProven experience in catering sales or a similar role, with a strong focus on client relationship management. \nKnowledge of sales strategies and catering operations, including event planning and execution. \nExcellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. \nStrong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and prioritize tasks effectively. \nProficiency in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office for reporting and account management. \nAbility to analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies. \nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. \nAbility to work independently and as part of a team. \nWork Environment:\nPrimarily indoor office work with occasional travel for client meetings and events. \nFrequent interaction with clients, staff, and vendors, requiring flexibility in communication and scheduling. \nMust be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate event schedules and client needs. \nOther Duties:\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the team member for this job.
