Job Summary: The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible formonitoring staff performance to ensure guest satisfaction through prompt, courteous service while maintainingsafe and profitable operations in accordance withbrand standards. This role oversees daily operations, provides staff feedback, and assistswith training to ensure smooth restaurant functioning.
Essential Functionsand Duties:
Performs shift opening and closing duties according to the manager's checklist.
Engageswith guests, solicitingfeedback and implementing service recovery when necessary.
Ensures proper execution of revenue and check control procedures during the shift.
Assistsin selecting, training, and providing ongoing feedback to staff to meet brand and guest satisfaction standards.
Utilizes tools such as schedules, floor plans, reservations, and daily checklists to run the shift efficiently.
Conducts pre-shift meetings with staff to communicate specials, guest satisfaction scores, and service concerns.
Resolves operational issues, such as call-outs, last-minute bookings, inventory shortages, and delayed ticket times.
Monitors floor volume and assistswith seating, serving, and kitchen communication to ensure adequate coverage.
Maintains a safe and sanitary work environment for staff and guests.
Maintains regular attendance and high standardsof personal appearance and grooming.
Monitors compliance with safety and security procedures to promote a safe work environment.

Required Experience, Education, and Skills:
Minimum of 4 years of related food and beverage experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to lead by example, demonstratingexceptional hospitality skills and technical knowledge of restaurant operations.
Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
Proficiencyin basic computer and POS system functions, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Strong communicationskills, with the ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and guests.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages, and volume.
Work Environment:
Works primarily indoors.
Occasional exposure to cleaning chemicals.
Stands and walks for more than two-thirds of the shift.
Regularly lifts and pushes/pulls objects up to 25 lbs.
Adheres to safety and security procedures to promote a safe work environment.
